Over 30 hours per day hey?
Half of that is adds
Half of that again is events that are not featuring Aussies
3 hours of that is AFL
Pull your head out of your a r s e
This is the lowest, disgusting, deplorable coveridge ever.
I AM EMBARRASSED TO BE AN AUSSIE |

1. Queenslander's don't care about AFL! We could have been
watching Michael Diamond shoot.
2. The Olympics aren't the same without Roy & HG
Channel 9 have the 2012 broadcast rights. We'll see what happens. |

| Perhaps its a marketting plan? Fill the Olympics with ungodly amounts of ad breaks to try and make that useless decade old Tivo look more appealing to Australians. |

| Out of the 30 hours of coverage though, 22 of those hours are made up of ads, interviews and stupid puff pieces about Sonya Kreuger's shopping habits. |

| Channel 7s coverage of the Olympics is the most disgraceful and unprofessional that I have witnessed! For example, as an equestrian fan, I was mortified that they have an ex-jockey (and a real yobbo at that), commentate the equestrian - he has absolutely NO FREAKING IDEA! Just because he was a jockey doesn't mean he's a horseman, something that he has proven by his lack of knowledge of the sport. Whoever had the broadcasting rights to the Olympics in previous years have at least had the insight to get commentators who knew their sport. And I would rather watch any sport with Australians competing than hours and hours of boring swimming heats with no Aussies at all. I have just watched the morning program, Yum-Cha - what a joke! All they can do is make fun of the events and competitors. Bring back Roy & HG - at least they were good at satire and everyone could have a laugh. Share the Spirit - Yeah right. |

| You reckon... With Channel 7 and SBS showing a combined total of 30 hours of coverage a day - there is more Olympic coverage than ever before. I think it's great. You get a variety of all the sports and it's not only the ones that Australia is participating. |

SHAME SHAME SHAME
This is disgracefull.
It started on the opening ceremony night they took add breaks at critical times in the ceremony.
Then there was the beach volley ball on saturday where there was no scores on the tv and no film for a period of time.
And then showing a pointless AFL game in the middle of the olympics. THIS IS DISGRACEFULL YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELFS.
NEXT OLYMPICS HOPEFULY 9 OR 10 WILL BROADCAST THEM YOU HAVE HIT AN ALL TIME LOW 7! |

| Waited for more coverage of women's cycling last night, but went to bed in disgust - didn't need to sit thru the whole 92 minutes of soccor - they cld surely flick back & forth like they do with the other sports. |

Thank god SBS is giving coverage. AFL during the games are you for real ???
Show the people of Australia what we have waited 4 years to see NOT your dam adds and AFL. |

| hello to all. the channel 7 coverage of the olympic games is absolutely pathetic. i sit, relax and ready to watch some great australians in action at the olympic games and what do i see, ADVERTISING, ADVERTISING and ADVERTISING. how frustrating, boring and just not good enough for a once in every four year event. i vote for a name change to THE ADVERTISING GAMES not THE OLYMPIC GAMES. here i come SBS. |

| I totally agree. I got so annoyed at Channel 7 last night when I was trying to watch the basketball. They advertised the big line up of the night, including USA v China which I was really looking forward too, USA are such a dynamic and entertaining team to watch and Channel 7 butchered it and made it unwatchable. Going to ad breaks so often, cutting to other sports, cutting back to the studio, rejoining the game later so we miss large portions of the game, they literally showed less than 1 min of game between some ad breaks. It was so painful to watch and I couldnt get into the game and enjoy it. If it continues like this I wont be tuning it anymore. |

| Thank god for SBS. Seven are hopeless, cant stick to anything. Softball starts today, I doubt we'll see a second of it. Its their last Olympics and they're a great medal chance having medalled in all Olympics to date. |

I am already totally over seven's olympic coverage. Yesterday they had 3 hours of AFL on. Then last night I am waiting and waiting and waiting for the basketball coverage which was apparently 'coming up' but went to bed after watching an hour of swimming heats and other rubbish not involving Australians.
Hope channel 7 NEVER has the rights again. Two days in and they have already made a mockery of it.
Next Friday night from 6pm to 10pm there will be no coverage while they have news and AFL.
All they are interested in showing is footy and swimming.
COMPLETELY PATHETIC!!!!!!! |

| Have to agree pretty *** ty coverage, well except if you only want to see Swimming.... I mean I like swimming and am all for watching the finals but it seems as though we are watching every single race. What about the gymnastics- Australia was competing and I think you showed one routine, seriously. There are plenty of other sports that us Aussies would like to see, The swimmers aren't the only ones with medal chances. Most of them have the heads stuck so far up their asses anyway that I would rather watch other athletes, who aren't paid S**t loads to model underwear etc and have had to pay their own way there. |

Channel 7, I'm afraid, has gone to the pits with their coverage of the 'live Olympics'. Come on ABC, TCN, TEN, you bid for the next one - make sure you listen to your viewers in relation to what is expected of you before the games start. Get qualified journalists who know about sport (hopefully journalists that specialise in certain sports). Ch7, the ones you have now, have no idea (apart from Armstrong and Kowalski). Even McAvaney is fluffing his 'lines' a fair bit - maybe getting too old!!!
Come on Ch7, get your damned act together now before the games finish. Give us mere mortals some entertainment. |
