| who cares if they faked anything? it was bloody entertaining at times. what does it matter if someone sang or lip sync'd? if the cracker that looked like an awesome giant footprint was computer enhanced? its about SPORT. people go and pay for all this new fascinating technology in movies and stuff every day and rave about how great the special effects were...ya dont hear em comin out sayin....geez how good would it have been if bruce willis REALLY DID fly that car into a chopper...it just wasnt real!!! and yet people get the same kinda thing for free at the olympics and people have a go at em cause the cracker wasnt real..FFS! I saw some chinese gymnasts entertaining the crowds at events where they were performing awesome dangerous stuff. I wonder if they were really flicking that kid in the air like a rag doll or if it was a special effect? |

| It was very obvious that many people in and out of the press/TV took every chance to find some negative comments about the games and the Chinese. It would help if people were not so ignorant about Chinese culture, history and geography. Australia could be easliy described in such negative terms. But then you must not knock anything Aussie. | Once again double standard. Chinese were condemned by the whole world for 'fakery' while the whole world is silent when they hear that Aussie did the real fakery even 8 years ago. Also Italian got no negative comments for its fakery (singing) in its winter Olympic Games ceremony. What a world! What a double standard.
