| Gotta say that I'm perplexed by the decision to re-run the 500m wheelchair race after a fall in the original event and the handing out of medals. Is this making a mockery of this event or what ? I have never witnessed an event re-run because of an incident such as this. Thy are patronising those involved. Steven Bradbury won gold during the winter olympics when the rest of the field fell down. Race cars & drivers win events when there are big prangs and horse racing goes on when there is a fall and likely place getters are inconvenienced or are no longer able to complete the distance. WAKE UP to the powers that be ... special rules and condition don't apply, let this sport play under the same rules and guidelines as ALL OTHER SPORTS. |

| Incredible performances, fantastic viewing, loved the wheelie basketball. Great coverage by the ABC, got to see ALL the USA v Aus women's game, no cutting off the last 8 minutes! What about the guy with NO arms swimming the breast-stroke? AAA-AMAZING. |

| Hi statsy.....absolutely inspirational...the performances of these athletes. The swimming times have been awesome....they would wipe most Aussies away. My highlight so far has been the guys and girls from the cycling. The guy who won our first gold for the paralympics just touched my heart with his joy at winning the gold. I'm still grinning. |

| Actually plenty of peo0ple are, and I enjoyed the swimming yesterday, especially Cowley coming in Second after being nearly a body length behind, but JUST being touched out on the wall. | Anybody watch the lighting of the torch? They had some cripple climb 100 metres up a rope in his wheelchair. Cheap chinese didnt even have the decency to automate the lifting. When the guy was climbing the torch kept burning his arm as well. Poor b@st@rd probably has 3rd degree burns today.
