Re:Four Nations Round 1 Reply to this message
If they let Hayne run beside Inglis instead of Hodges, the score could be anything! Especially as Slater will be lingering on the inside - defensive nightmare for the English there!

I can't see the Poms getting too close either, we had our scare (and let's give credit to the Kiwis, they are a good unit), England are inexperienced and a class or three below.

Still, in a 2 horse race anything can happen!

England were a major disappointment during the World Cup last year, and at times, were woeful
The English trailled France at half time, so I cannot imagine they will seriously challenge Australia in the next game.
Kangaroos will bounce back hard - the Aussies will top 50 , Kip

Kip

I think I will stack up the Kangaroos winning record against England in the last 30 years. So much so that there are no more Test series of Australia v England especially in Australia. One day the World Club Challenge will be held in Oz and we will seee the real difference between the 2 Leagues. If the English referee keeps the two sides apart and the defending side back 10 then Oz should win easily. If he doesn't, it may be close.

Adrian

"We will smack the Poms on Saturday..."

Well Adrian - did you say this for the WC final - which you lost?

Did you say this for last Saturday's game v weakened Kiwis - which you sra@ped a draw - lucky me thinks?

Let's face it England have put the fear of god into the Kangaroos and supporters like you Adrian.

"greatest team ever ....?" well certainly maybe on paper

England can win on saturday - we have a powerful pack to match and even beat the Roos

Morley - Pea *** - Ellis are not to be discounted.

The backs are young but that can be an advantage,

If England can pull it off - Australia again miss out on the big stage and will go out maybe,

Chokers ?????

GO ENGLAND BYE BYE ROOS

We will smack the Poms on Saturday...

even with the ref on their side..

They will be no match for us unless they resurrect Adrian Morley to come on and decapitate 6 Aussies in the first 10 mins..

Re:Four Nations Round 1 Reply to this message
Absolutely correct. The mistakes he made in Game one of State of Origin were shocking. And then he gets selected in Game 2 and 3 as captain again? And Hayne was on the wing in all three games? Absolute joke. If it was not for Hayne the series would have been embarrasing for the Blues.

Re:Four Nations Round 1 Reply to this message
The Aussies didnt spit when Fien played for NZ.
His claim to being a k1 was refuted because his only heritage was that his great grandmother was born in NZ and because he hadnt lived in NZ for the required 3 years, had never collected Aussie centrelink and had ****ed less than 100 sheep, he didnt qualify as a K1. It was the international league that stopped him, not the Aussies

Re:Four Nations Round 1 Reply to this message
The thing is that they openly soften eligibility criteria during the World Cup so that they may strengthen the lists of the minnow nations.

So instead of being helpful to the minnows by changing these rules, it would hurt them. The vast majority of the Aussies that play for other countries in the World Cup are Aussie born and bred players, they qualify for other nations based of their parents etc. Change the rules and they only qualify to play for the Roos.

The Aussies love to poach the minnow nations best players but look what happened when a Aussie tried defecting to play for NZ,the selectors spat it and refused..

Pete makes a decent point, but loses all credibility by twice claiming Hayne captained Fiji.
