Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
Brett Morris i hope you talking about, specialist winger, more tries, more try saving tackles, more line breaks then Josh. Mind you Josh is exceptional player and i wish both would play for the team i support

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
if you are using Slater & hayne as duel "attacking fullbacks" then you do not really need to defend the wing when attacking.

Surely they have enough brains to fall back into the original positions when defending. But then again too many chiefs and not enough indians can be the down fall of the team.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
yer man i did think of that but if you play hayne on the wing or centre, then your losing a massive asset to your team, and theres no way you could drop slater.....i was just hoping we could smash them up the middle and then still have bucket loads of pace with morris jennings and inglis on the flanks :)

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
slater and hayne attacking as dual fullbacks

Sounds like a brilliant idea mate but who covers Hayne's wing?
Although I mentioned earlier my preferred backline, The side would lose nothing with Jennings there. We have speed to burn with either of the Morris boys or Jennings.
I wouldn't pick Hodges, but I'm not a selector.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
The only thing stopping him taking his spot is his lack of mouth and ability to p!ss people off:)
If he took his centre spot based on talent and ability, hed do just as good a job as him.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
lol - Jennings won't get in over Hodges.

I'd say they'll give him Folau's right wing spot though.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
I feel for Luke O'Donnell who was beaten because the Cowboys didn't make it and Sheen's hates them. One of the better defenders and runs hard for the nfull 80 every game.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
No doubt he would play well but he hasn't proven himself as a centre. No matter where he plays, that backline 1 - 5 has speed to burn all five can score length of field tries. It looks good without Folau and Hodges.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
I wouldn't be surprised to see Hayne pop up at centre. He only ever played there for a Hagan coached team with Funch as the sole playmaker, so ealry ball did not exist, he will kill it anywhere in the backline.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
Quite a good team KWC, but I'd make two changes. Swap Josh Morris and Hayne as Hayne has played his best footy as a winger and fullback.
On the bench I'd bring in Luke Lewis for Cronk.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
But he did play better than Enooooooos.

He was the one (apart from Israels horrible read/ then equally horrible attempted tackle) that sent Hayne down the sideline for what was a great SOO try. Apparantly he touched the line, and Slater was onside in game 2 2004.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
Dont be a biased goose, Hayne was close to best on ground, and head and shoulders above any otehr blue on the park.

Farah got dropped for the arm grab on catch and fall over / back away and do nothing. Thats right, he has a nickname for attack and defence.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
Smeg, you are kidding. Game 1 Farah NSW best. 1 try assist, 35 tackles with only 14 miss, an offload, ran 10 times from dummy half and kicked 5 times for 170m. He was the reason NSW were within 4 points with only a couple of minutes left.

He was quieter in game admittedly but was still far better than Ennis was in game three and lets not forget he was playing injured.

Ennis failed to contribute really. Ennis had NO try assists, ran less, kicked less and tackled less. The only thing he had more of than Farah in either of his two games was penalties conceded.

The difference between the two sides was more than just the hookers. If Farah had played alongside Kimmorley in both of his games you would have seen just how much better he is at that level than Ennis.

He carried the halves in game 1 and played game 2 injured.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
There could be more to Ennis's non selection than just form. He is a pri c k ly character who irritates people, the type of person you'd like to belt.
Maybe he was considered incompatible with a touring team.

Re:Test Squad Reply to this message
The only decision with the squad I'm miffed about is Farah over Ennis. Joke. Farah is a glory boy who can't handle the tough stuff. Fact.

Farah 2 origins, no wins and was useless as sh1t. Ennis 1 origin, 1 win and showed he has the toughness to compete. But Sheens is the coach so what could we expect?

It was pretty funny, all 30 Melbourne fans were on the fence too. Blair pushed my flag away, so I donked him on the head with it and he kept moving, Jerkoff.

I never saw the question, but yeah, I was near the goalposts waving a Parra flag in the players faces.

Yeah, I mentioned it in the GF thread at the other place. I almost fell out of my seat when I recognised who it was.
