Parra would be better off keeping Inu and letting Luke Burt go instead.

Inu is younger , faster , stronger and a hell of alot better goal kicker to.

Talk in the press today about the Doggies chasing Inu.
With Poore and Shackleton coming on board and the Eels not wanting to let Mateo anywhere near a negotiation table, Inu might just be expendable.

Re:No More El Magic? Reply to this message
Its ironic how Parra are said to be all a bunch of overpaid wingers and NSW has the Worlds best Fullback at the moment in Parras Jarrod Hayne and the stupid NSW selectors put him on the wing.

Talk about an overpaid winger.

Get your kids to sign a contract with Parra and play them on the wing.

All the best to Hasam in his retirement
Carried himself with distinction and class onfield and off
Who could forget his match sealing try in the 2004 GF to bury the Rooters???
Well done mate

Its strange, because fatdad and his 20 scrawny kids rooting your missus is a traditional Aussie sport.

Re:No More El Magic? Reply to this message
he would be best served by educating the morons in the leb community that participating in traditional aussie sports is something worth doing
hanging around in a pack of 20 scrawny idiots and picking on a lone aussie walking down the street is NOT a traditional aussie sport
i too have bagged el mazda but do concede we need many many more like him to drag the game out of the mire

Re:No More El Magic? Reply to this message
Agree bhilly. I've bagged him, rightly, over the years as the original "catch and fall over" type winger. Be that as it may, he has a fantastic record both for tries and goals scored and can hardly be faulted off the field. Hopefully, if this is true, then the NRL will employ him as some sort of "life coach" for the next generation of first graders.

A supposed 'gentleman' of the game Brad. Besides a supposedly 'alledged' dodgy meeting with a solicitor at 2am, they can't pin much on El Masri. He's been a true hero to the kids of Belmore and RL. Can't see another one like him on the horizon, anybody to fill his shoes?

No More El Magic? Reply to this message
Bulldogs' Hasem El Masri expected to announce retirement on Tuesday

Bulldogs legend Hasem El Masri is expected to announce at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon that 2009 will be his final year in the NRL.

The 33-year-old, who was born in Lebanon, cut his teeth on football and didn't play rugby league until his teens, but by 1996 he was playing first grade for the Bulldogs.

Fourteen years later he's become an ornament to the game, and now holds the record for most games for the Bulldogs with 305 games. He's also the highest point-scorer in Australian Rugby League history.

He is hoping the NRL can find him a role after retirement.
