But FOG, she moved to Moonee Ponds at an early age.
Which means she would have gone through the Melbourne Grubs lower grades ie Brisbane Norths , and would be eligible to play for the Mighty Maroons

Re:Qld SOO 3 team Reply to this message
if you had Dame Edna Everage playing in the front row, I'd still back the Maroons in game 3.

According to Dame Edna's autobiography, and to statements she has made, she was born Edna May Beazley in the rural city of Wagga Wagga... Dont know where she originally played first grade , but coming from Wagga Wagga she would probably be eligible to play for the blues. .....

Oh , and they could do with her in the forward pack.

I said a couple of days ago Gould will coach NSW again but not before 2012. This is when Qld will be skinny for forward talent and no Locky so Gould will keep his ego intact and win. I'm tipping Qld's run is just about over.
===
I don't know. If they push Lockyer out of the way after this series, they will bring in Prince/Thurston combo next year. They won the series without DL last year, they can do it again from next season.

In the forwards, assuming the Price of Petrol falls, Queensland will need 2 new props. I'd think Scott would slip in there well for one position. The other will be out of a number of candidates - obviously depending on form at the time.

No Hunt from next season either, but he is only a bit player anyway. Slater has the starting spot to himself, and if he was to get injured, there are a few handy players available to QLD.

All up, I think the gap between the sides is greater than 2 props!

Bloody inbred redneck nutbags, always trying to find a way to take the underdog tag.

Well, you're not fooling me. You've pantsed us in the first two games and if you had Dame Edna Everage playing in the front row, I'd still back the Maroons in game 3.

Nearly spot on I think BK. Myles is the obvious backup for prop. Only got half the minutes and possessions as Price and Civ in game 2 but averaged the same yardage per run. Also has a higher defencive work rate.

I think you need that second big bloke on the bench though and Shillington, Scott, Kaufusi and Myers would all be contenders.

Re:Qld SOO 3 team Reply to this message
If it's my post you are referring to take note of the 9th and 10th words of my first sentence, origin class. There is a big step up from NRL to Origin. e.g. Brent Kite, test front rower and MOM award winner in a grand final, no better than ordinary in SOO. Weyman and Poore, form props in NRL, ordinary in SOO.
No doubt about the forwards you mention, good workers, talented, but that's in the RL comp. Kaufusi and Tronc certainly can claim kudos for Townsville's position, ditto Weyman and Poore for Saints.
Take out Petero and Pricey from Qld and they will be a weaker side no matter who you replace them with.
As for David Taylor, well, he has been in reserve grade for quite a while now. I hope he does become a class act, RL will be all the better if he does, but as Krisnan Inu showed yesterday he's not all that hard to stop.
NSW will be pretty much the same as Qld for props, some good quality first grade stock.
One player who lifted himself to the next level, and I can't stant the c.nt is Watmough. In the NRL he has proved to be a brittle defender but not so in SOO.
I'll stick with what I said, origin class forwards will be light on in around 3 years.

Re:Qld SOO 3 team Reply to this message
Is that a gee up? Stocks are bare? PLEASE!

Kaufusi has been great for the Cowboys, likewise Tronc, hence their place on the ladder.

And Shillington is one I have always rated. Even when you loved to hate the Roosters, I admired him and his work. He's the sort of bloke who could step up and go a long way.

And you haven't even mentioned David Taylor who's coming up in a few years.

If you want to whinge about Props, be a NSW fan for 5 years.

What about Dave Taylor[just needs motivation and a SOO selection would do his confidence good].David Stagg has been playing good for the bulldogs,Brad Myers has been a tackling machine for the G.C.N.Costigan from the dragons,Matt Scott plenty of players, these guys are around but hard to get in the Qld SOO side when there are alot of talented players to choose from.

You're right chucker, Qld is light on for origin class forwards behind the current lot, and there are no young hotshots on the way up. Same with Locky which is why I said a couple of days ago Gould will coach NSW again but not before 2012. This is when Qld will be skinny for forward talent and no Locky so Gould will keep his ego intact and win. I'm tipping Qld's run is just about over.
