| Would love to see my Titans there and this is their best chance yet. However, it is hard to look past the Dogs and Saints. They are very good on their day. That being said, you've got Manly, Storm, Titans and Cowboys all CAPABLE of turning up and giving any other side a right royal spanking of the highest order. I have a Dogs Saints GF with a Saints win in my future. However, and even after tonight's effort, I still have the Cowboys as smokies. If Bowen and JT have an up day, they can go all the way. Would love it to be a Titans vs anybody GF and Titans spank them but that's just my fantasy. |

They just got home against the Tigers, (20-18)in Rd 11. Flogged by the Storm in Rd 13, (48-4). Beaten convincingly by the Doggies in Rd 14, (44-22). And then hammered by the Sharks in Rd 15, (46-12). Beaten by Parra in Rd 16, (21-14). A win over the Warriors in Rd 17, (28-14). Demolished by Souths in Rd 19, (44-12). Beaten by the Titans tonight in Rd 20, (34-18). So, with two byes, (Rd's 12 & 18) the Showponies have got 10 points in 11 Rd's. | Struth Bhilly, the Horse and Jockey was my lunchtime drink on payday. The Homebush is where I worked at the time but it was a Resch's pub whereas the H % J was a Tooheys. I didn't like Resch's at the time and still don't. | Ah, Seek. Thanks for the memories, I'd forgotten my times at the Melton. I worked at the abbs at Homebush for 20 years and it was either the Melton, Rooney's at Lidcombe or the Horse and Jockey at Homebush for a few ales on the way home. | Ermo brings back memories from I lived in Auburn. Sometimes we used to think it was a contest between the Melton and the Ermo as to which one had the biggest all in brawl. | West Ryde has gone pretty trendy, but it is still Ermo's gateway to the public transport system. In reality, a bloke of my size doesn't have many issues, too much effort, but they are low, grab a pair of crutches, and you will get targetted. |

| As you said, you and I have very different reasons for heading out that way, giving em a smoke aint an option for me. Out there, mate they are just desperate. Unlike the druitt and bankstown, the abo's dont do it cuz they are bored, most of em do it because they have to, if they wanna keep up the hammer. The dole only gets them so far. It deadset is a jungle, but I love it. As for ermo, never been there, altho I was out the other night in west ryde... i stayed with a sheila in Station st, just off victoria st... seemed okay, maybe this is the good part? |
