Qld were better, but I don't think they were great at all. NSW were just terrible. It was, without a doubt, the worst display in the history of S.O.O., that 1st twenty minutes by my Blues.
Their 1st half (Qld) was a 7 out of ten against a 2 from NSW (Hayne is the 2). In the 2nd half, as per the 1st game, the ref allowed both sides to lay around the ruck for way too long.
Not sure if Qld were great or just lucky enough to play such a dodgy NSW. Any way you slice it, NSW lost that one. 4 dropped balls in your own 20 and you're going to pay. |

the presence of fittler and johns last week would have seen a cricket score put on the qld side
Both played in the 1995 series when Fatty's reserve grade side beat them, and they even were held scoreless in a game in that year. |

Make Gould the coach and let him pick the players he wants and i promise you Queersland would be lucky to win another game again.
And as for not supporting the team like Queersland does.... Iwas living there when NSW put three series wins in a row against them and all i heard was Queerslanders whinging about the team and the coach and carrying on saying the whole team should be dropped.
What i don't get is they now have one 4 in a row and they are still whinging about things.
Get over it and yourselves |

the presence of fittler and johns last week would have seen a cricket score put on the qld side
the fact nsw had no direction or creativity as well as a crew of gun shy manly players (exception watmough)cost a win that was there for the taking |

Cant see the point in trying to stop a 3-0 whitewash as a priority when the series is already shot.
Installing temporary solutions to try and solve a dead issue is counter productive to future development. |

Ennis, Cooper, Soward, Hindy, Learoyd lars,Hornby . You need a team that can attack and defend. QLD have a team that wins NOW, not players who have a long future in the game, but experienced blokes who know how to win NOW, like Locky, Price, Petro.
nsw need to do the same and keep faith with their tried and tested players like Hindy. He never would have missed those soft tackles in origin 2. Kimmorly also, while not a long term option is playing great and could be the spark to give them a winning feeling, which with blokes like Farrar, Gidley etc they just do not have. |

| Hornby is a good choice aswell, don't think he deserved MotM tonight over Soward but he has been playing very well, and has already got experienced paired with Soward |

I understand Noddy is not a long term solution. I never said that. What he would be there for is to help and try to stop the Maroonwash.
Next year's series could be tainted with memories of getting flogged 3 nil or having some restored faith and pride by winning a game, even if it doesn't change the series.
If these boys get licked by 30 or 40 at Suncorp, they might not get off the canvas again. For the sake of the next year's series, we desparately need to be competitive and effective.
But if you think he's too old, look at Hornby with Soward. Hornby's only 29, has played for Australia and you could easily get 3 years out of him with Soward all the way.
Put Creagh, Poore, Weyman, Cooper and B Morris all around them and they might not even miss a beat. Winning formula is what we need and right now, those boys have got it.
We need halves that are winning games and kicking effectively. The guys we have aren't doing that and these guys could. |

I agree about BK mon, he is not a long term solution, I think that is what smeg is missing.
As for Soward, he has alright defence, not the best but alright. What nsw need is an attacker though, they are lacking attack. He is also good in defending kicks close to the line. I think Soward has got the be the choice for 6 or 7 in origin 3, with Mullen (dunno how old Sutton is) or even Walsh as someone said, he is not fully up to it yet but he is going to be big, he is maturing really fast at the panthers, and at one point was labelled the next Johns along side Dureau and Mullen lol. |

Preston Campbell?
FFS people we've made 36752 changes to the halves in the past 5 years, can we just pick a long term combination and stick with it? Yes, Kimmorley is the form halfback but he's not a long term solution. You pick him, all you're trying to do is win game 3, which is meaningless.
And Soward had a decent game with the ball in hand, he usually does. How was his defence?
Frank Fish was the selector you're talking about, and he won't be back. He did the job or a ong time because of love of the game, and it was pretty obvious he'd have enough of all the bull *** that is involved with the administration of the game. He's a good man Fish, he deserved better, but I've got no doubt wherever he is now, he's doing some good. |

I just think that tonight showed us who the form players are.
Soward and Kimmorley were both an integral part in a couple of commanding victories. When the big play was needed, they made the right options and that's what counts.
Soward made 566 metres in kicks tonight. 566!
Kimmorley made 423 kick metres, 29 tackles, no misses and 1 line break assist.
Then Cooper and Morris had a good night and showed their worth. With Creagh who was outstanding. Poore was great too with 35 tackles and 10 hit ups.
Farah tried too hard and made several bad choices whilst Ennis was a machine for the Dogs. Great hits, great effort, his usual pest self and instrumental in everything they did. Partners well with Noddy too.
Does anyone now see what I mean about Ennis, Kimmorley and Soward over Farah, Wallace and Barrett/Campese? The more and more you look, the more sense it makes. They are the form players ATM.
And let's not forget that a NSW Country selector stood down at the start of the series when he was incensed the NSW selectors wouldn't let them pick Kimmorley for the City Country.
THAT man needs to be the HEAD of NSW Selectors with a new batch. Whoever he was, that man knows what is going on. He must be sitting at home wondering if the message has gotten through.
Or will politics and rubbish lead to them leaving the right people out again and another drubbing for sure? Only time will tell. |

| Preston Campbell, I agree B.C. is in form, but we are already down 2-0 and can't win the series, how long is B.C. going to be around for, who gives a sh1t about being white washed, I thin losing 4 in a row is more embarrassing then a white wash. Put in someone who is going to be around in the long run. As I said, you can switch J.S. to 7 but then you still need a 6. |
