| Chucker, the ones where the bloke comes in late would, I imagine, be classed among ineffective. | Jarryd Hayne turned up at NSW state athletics carnival at 16, decided he wanted to run in the hurdles. Which he never tried before and won easily. Natural athlete. You dont know how quick he is, because he only ever runs as fast as he needs to. Soward must be so slow from 40-100M in that case. He is the opposite to a bloke like EGJ, who takes a week to turn around, half a week to get moving, looks like a retarded gimp at top flight, but he is quicker then Hayne in top gear. |

| Yes TCTM, he has the speed off the mark to get through the line, or around a player, but he starts paddling after 20 or 230 metres. People give up, because he appears to be going quick, but big long blokes like the Morrises, EGJ could chase him down with a 15-20 Metre start over 80 metres. |

| How many tackles a game does Thurston miss?? Yet, he is a far more effective defender than Soward because he attempts more tackles esp one on one than Dragon. Sodo is right in that Soward is second and third man in and gets credited with making a tackle. As for the kicking game, with Price charging out of the line and attempting charge downs, if Soward tries to step and run, it is the Qld Pack , and not the useless Warriors pack that he runs into. Whole different intensity and pace of the game - just look how Wallace was found out with the added pressure. Even 10 m back, Soward wont have the time to stop , line up where he wants to kick, and take his two paces for the kick because he will be smashed well before he gets the kick away. The best halfbacks in SOO are ones who will run at the opposition forwards and absorb the punishment. Mullen is too injury prone for 80min of that , and Soward not big or tough enough. |
