| Such a shame though. I really think my side has the spark to ruffle feathers. |

That's all good, but playing guys out of position is just not going to work. And forget Campbell, love him but they're not going to pick him now, they wouldn't pick him when he was Dally M POY.
If Jennings is fit, he will come back in for Williams and push Monaghan onto the wing. Wallace will go but God only knows what the selectors will do to replace him. Shifting Gidley to the halves seems to be a popular option.
The pack will probably stay much as it is due to lack of options. Farah is definitely not 100% fit and may miss out for Ennis. Wing to come back on to the bench.
You can chop and change all you want, but ultimately Queensland have the Australian backline and front row. That's bloody hard to beat. |

1 - Campbell
2 - B Morris
3 - Cooper (C)
4 - Hayne
5 - Jennings
6 - Soward
7 - Kimmorley. Now that's a back line.
9 - Ennis
14 - Wing
Presto at 1. He broke more tackles than anyone in the nrl last year. His slipperiness is a great help running it back and he's played enough at halves to be able to chime in near the ruck.
Our 1,6,7,9,14 had these performances out of 10.
Gids 3 (lacked confidence to catch it on the full and didn't fire)
Barrett 5 (the hit was handy)
Wallace 2 (was dreadful in passing and kicking)
Farah 2 (created sweet FA and was the guy who missed Falou badly for the 2nd try)
J Morris 4 (saw bugger all and did little with it)
And my key positions would at least give you this out of ten.
Presto 7
Soward 8
Kimmorley 7
Ennis 7
Wing 8
Cooper would have to go better than Lyon. Have to. He was Gaz's International centre partner for a while and pushed Kingy to the wing in the NSW team.
Jennings has far more strike and size than Williams and is better with the ball in hand easy. Off Hayne would be great.
Monaghan did bugger all of note and was an easy read. B Morris off Cooper with Creagh helping down the left off Soward has St George top of the table. I say go with it.
Preston, Wing, Ennis, Kimmorley, Soward. Gotta be more dangerous than what we had. Has to.
Look at it closely. It just makes more sense, doesn't it? |

| Every other 5/8 in the comp is too though Pete. They don't need a creative 5/8. They need a halves combo with big kicks to start with. Get in good field position and let Hayne, Creagh and Gidley cut loose then. |

I didn't mention any of them being available mate. I just pidgeon holed Sutton as a 5/8 alongside Bird and Mateo.
And unfortunately Galloway isn't due back until round 19. Probably the unluckiest prop in NZSW. |

| hayne has been the best winger in both games and people are suggesting to put him at fullback. no wonder we played like a buch of under 8's. play people in their positions. Gidley is a fullback. if he can't produce the goods in SoO then don't play him.if we want a forward who plays like aqueenslander then pick Steve Southern from the Cowgirls. He was born in Woollongong and is the sort of player who will give you his all in a game...and he can tackle. |

Lockyer is suss defender but Thirsty is playing well over his weight..
>>>>>>>
Check last nights figures Pete.
Lockyer - 22 tackles and 1 miss
Agreed that week in week out in the NRL he can be a liability but players like him lift for the occasion. I don't remember the last time his defence has let QLD down. |

SUTTON????
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Last year you NZSW blokes were all waiting until after the WC when Mateo would finally be able to declare his availability for Australia, hence his availability for NZSW.
He's not even rated a mention this year.
Three names for you - Bird, Mateo and Sutton. All back rowers with some ability as a 5/8 translating to one boom season in that position then fizzling faster than an SDM fart at a Felchers United convention. |

Well, we need to consider that the likes of Lewis, Wing, Bailey & Jennings would be back by then from injuries so I would be happy to see some or all of them come back in some positions.
They won't do it, but for what's it's worth, this is my picks.
1 - Preston Campbell (same role as Gidley, just better)
2 - Other Morris (partners with Coops at the Sts)
3 - Cooper
4 - Hayne
5 - Jennings
6 - Soward (how helpful would his goalkicking alone be?)
7 - Kimmorley/Orford/Mullen (anyone but Wallace/Pearce, preferably Mullen for the future)
8 - Poore
9 - Ennis (Farah had a 2/3 out of 10 in both games, move over buddy)
10- Weyman
11- Lewis
12- Creagh
13- Gallen
14- Wing
15- Bailey
16- Kite
17- O'Donnell |

hes done just as much as the other pretenders.
Why should he wait and earn it when the rest are just given a free carpet ride.
Lets see what he does |

But it also allows him to be well balanced and hard to put on the ground |

Lockyer is suss defender but Thirsty is playing well over his weight..
He has had the same ops as Benji on his shoulders but his workrate and kick chase is incredible..
Soward has a decent kick chase and Sutton would feen the NSW backs better and has a deft short kicking game |
