| Agreed Re the "boofheads behind the scenes". | Also as far as the serious football talk goes, from what I've seen on the Footy Show this year, they: - Discuss the talking points on and off the field in the NRL from the past week at the top of the show. - Showcase the highlights and lowlights from the past round. - Talk about each match briefly and give their tips whilst giving reasons as to why they are tipping them. - Phil Gould brings a certain element of seriousness to the show when he's given a platform to talk about something related to the game. His origin analysis a few weeks ago was fantastic. - They bring players on to talk about their upcoming match and other matches in the round. Seems reasonable enough to me. Yes their humour isn't always great but variety shows are always hit and miss nowadays. |

| Well harlemz I have not watched the show fully since they axed Big Blocker Roach from the show and hardly ever do watch it. One just has to look at the names that have been and gone from the show. As a QLDR I think fatty is a looney toole. He didn't last long as CEO of the Manly club did he? He did a miracle with his first year SOO but then tried to survive on reputation and that is all he is doing now. Don't get me wrong there are some good segments in the show but other just do not do it for me so I do what you suggest I do and change channels or go to bed. My choice and I am happy for you that you find it entertaining. |

| It's a sports variety show in a 9.30pm timeslot. Much like the AFL Footy Show, it has always been a sports variety show. If you're expecting serious football talk to take place for the entire 1 and a half hours then I suggest changing the channel or wait a few days for the Sunday Footy shows. Gives me something to watch on late Thursday night/early Friday morning... If you are one of those people that hate the show with a passion, I'd like to think you'd have the common sense to just simply not watch the show. |

| The Chaser's War on Footy would be great! Their West Coke Eagle was brilliant, and they've done some pretty funny stuff with Cronulla and St George before. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| smeg I wouldn't go as far as the N/a/z/i but I do agree with your comments. I was working under the supervision of a gay female last year when I had my accident and she was fantastic in that role. We're still in contact with each other even though we have both moved on. | How the Footy Show has lasted the best part of 2 decades is beyod me! It was rubbish when it started and has just become worse and worse as the years have gone. It is amateur hour, and to call it entertainment is a blight on the genuine talent that can be found on TV (nb. that does NOT include the cast of Home and Away!). If it were to die, I doubt too many would shed a tear. I think there is a place for a footy show, but the format needs a massive overhaul - talking footy would be a good start! Instead of brainless boofhead ex players, how about some truly funny/talented people that know what they're doing? Ok, sorry for the rant. Continue as you were. |

| The focus hasnt been there for for quite some time. Sure, Vautin and Co cop a bagging and more often than not they deserve it, but the sight gags, the piss poor entertainment attempts, the sheer insistence on perpetuating common base humour as the only form of true comedy has overidden the technical content for years. Its not the guys fronting the camera that order this cr//ap (theyre merely perpetuating it because they havent the brains to steer the ship in the right direction anyway) aim needs to be taken at the morons behind the scenes and network Dereks that think they know what the public wants. Personally, i think the last decent debate they had was when Superleague was about to rear its head. |

| I thought her comment of having more female board members had merit. They couldn't possibly farrk up any worse than some of the blokes have. Let's be honest. However, I have always been against enforced percentages of groups in any subsection of life. If a woman goes for the job and she is the best person for the job, hire her. But nobody should ever get a position becuase the company needs to boost it's PC numbers. I don't care if the best person to run the game is a transgender crippled Hindu or a white male N a z i. Their ability to do their job should be the only criteria. |

| Why thankyou smeg,indeed its not always possible to speak only in glowing terms when debating issues of the day. i stand by my post that the Footy Show has become a purile capitulation to the feminist Juggernaut.
