Re:OWNED Again Reply to this message
I'm not saying the coach doesn't play a mojor part in the game, he does but all comes down to the players and what they can do with the knowledge given to them

Re:OWNED Again Reply to this message
Yep, just send Burt out there to kick a field goal with no other game plan, and Parra will lose 40-1, but at least the field goal will be impressive.

The interview with Anderson before the game was extremely impressive, should have known then that an upset was on the cards. Hindsight is 20/20 of course.

Re:OWNED Again Reply to this message
well seek what happened to your coach, hes is one of the best if not the best coach in the game, yet couldn't coach his team to beat the eels 2 weeks in a row, wake up to yourself and give the parra players the credit they deserve

Re:OWNED Again Reply to this message
You let a bunch of 17 NRL players coach themselves and come up with their own plays and tactics and theyll show just how inept they can really be. Itd take an uncoached team of Daleys, Meningas, Stuarts, Lewis', Menzies and Langers to pull it off....and how many of them have gone on to coach?:)
See the point?

Re:OWNED Again Reply to this message
Thanks for that mate, I am more informed now. I didn't realise the coach was of such
little importance to his team.
Considering they are paid as much as their highest paid players, if not more, it would be fair to think their employer is entitled to more from them.

Re:OWNED Again Reply to this message
yes seek i understand that the coach does go into a game with a plan, but he didn't go into that game with a plan that parra would dropkick from 45 out and give away penalties and keep inviting the dragons to score, face it mate the players get tought certain plays, but at the end of the day it's theplayers who do the work to get the results the coachcan only claim part of the victory the players get the rest.

Re:OWNED Again Reply to this message
sckitz, in RL coaches devise game plans to combat their opponents. You must be new to sport if you think coaches don't plan their game. Once the plan is thought up then the coach instructs his players how to go about it and if the players are good enough then they will carry out the coach's plan.
There you go mate, do you understand it now??

It's no secret as to why the Storm have become big game performers since Orford left for Manly.
