that's a good point actually...I heard on Grandstand yesterday that he played junior rep footy for both NSW and Qld, so who knows.

I think the Inglis case has shown that the best way to decide these things is just ask the player who he wants to play for.

Tamworth is a long way from the border!

Tom Steroid Lahrs

he played for Redcliffe and the Broncos in his earlier days
that means he could play for Qld???
I know he went to school in Tamworth but Tamworth is not far from the NSW-Qld border, so he could be a maroon

no arguments here but the team medico might have some.

Just pick Hindmarsh and Creagh selectors. FFS, they're the form backrowers in the comp, it's really a no-brainer, suits you lot perfectly.

And pick Tom Steroid Lahrs on the bench, even if he plays rubbish he can still rip Thurstons head off and use it as a projectile.

He was still best on park, and one of the best backrowers going round all week. On one arm.

Id take a One Armed Batman over Stewart, Laffranchi, Watmough anyday.

Didn't see the game but it sounds like SuperGrub only played with one arm yesterday, so he's probably out too.

Oh pooh! They may not select Trent and decide to go with the Manly replacements as what Sterlo spoke about this morning.

Needy Blues set to recall Barrett
AAP - June 14, 2009, 7:54 pm

Having revived Cronulla's fading hopes, Sharks skipper Trent Barrett is now set to be entrusted to do the same with NSW after out-pointing Origin I five-eighth Terry Campese in a one-on-one showdown in Canberra on Sunday.

Four years after playing the last of his seven games in the sky blue of NSW, Barrett is likely to be given a representative recall as Blues selectors attempt to stave off a record fourth straight series defeat.

His inclusion at the expense of Campese could be one of a host a changes to a NSW side that has been ravaged by injury and a sensational loss of form since their 28-18 defeat in game one in Melbourne.

Six Blues - centres Michael Jennings (calf) and Jamie Lyon (ankle), winger James McM *** (Achilles), lock Luke Lewis (broken toe), prop Luke Bailey (arm) and utility Craig Wing (hamstring) - are all either in doubt or have already been ruled out through injury with scans on Monday to determine their fate.

------------------------- ------------------------- ----------

Just for you courtesy of AAP.

As a QLDR I am happy to see that Barrett has not been considered and that Wallace is still the No1 choice for the halfback.

Yer I heard Craig Bellamy isn't injured, but I'm not 100% sure. NSW will be selecting queenslanders soon because half of nsw is injured.

Look I'm not a BLUES FAN, HATE EM but I am a big RAIDERS fan,why not Tongue,Leroy Lahrs and big Joel Mono in as replacements. Even though the Raiders are having a slow start this year, these guys are hitting form right now, why not give em a start......

I give up. Congratulations Queensland on winning four in a row.

Bailey, Lewis and McManooooos are all definitely out, Lyon, Jennings and Wing in doubt. NSW need a miracle just to avoid a whitewash.

I thought it was a fair call, looked like he got it down before the foot went into touch - and that is exactly the type of decision the BOD rule is designed for.

Oh, and Nev, what the bloody hell is going on? How many people have you managed to pi55 off? lol, at least you're popular! :P

Would you say Lockyer is owned by Roberts not once but twice?

I just saw a "benefit of the doubt" try awarded to Canterbury. There was no doubt, it was no try.

Re:Blues replacements in Game 2 Reply to this message
Getting back to what this thread is about, NSW should delegate a constant attack at Lockyer after seeing his pathetic effort in trying to stop Ben Roberts from scoring in the 56th minute. Locky is a disgrace to the Rugby League coaching manual section on defence.
Lockyer is a defensive liability.
