Actually I thought it was a rather rough comment.
Game was played over four quarters really I thought. Titans forwards dominated early in both halves and they should have pressed for the try early in the first half rather than taking the two.
In the periods where they dominated Prince looked like the only back really interested. Campbell and Rogers were both extremely quiet, Zillman was ball shy on returns and neither winger pushed up out wide in attack looking for a kick or flat pass. |

Fair comment rusty. Parra played a grinding game that once again proved they are a genuine premiership contender. GC had nothing to throw at Parra but it was a good hit out for Parra for next week.
I've never been a fan of the eight team play offs but am enjoying it this time. Probably because team 8 has defied tradition and stirred the pot. |

| Pretty poor alround from the coast I thought they would have been better than that, Prince picked a great time to play his worst game in 2 years |

| Another bad blue from Bailey. First he missed Hayne then got him and gave away a penalty. |

| Geez, Bull Bailey badly missed Jono Wright there giving Wright an easy try. Old Bull is not the same player he was when with Saints. |

| Parra lifted a notch when Fuifui came back on. He and Hindy are the starch in the Parra pack. |

oops that is poor sportsmanship. the 2 refs wouldn't be on parra's side now.
Titans are playing catch up footy though. |

That penalty to Parra in the 33 min should have been a scrum for a dropped ball against Parra but ended up with a try.
GC are their own worst enemies trying to play catch up football when it's not necessary whereas Parra is more composed and playing for their opportunities.
Parra should go on and win this comfortably, it is the superior team. If GC can do a second half job like last week then we may see an exciting finish, but can't see it happening.
Last week Parra copped some stick from the refs but have had a good run with them tonight. |

refereeing is absolutely shyte.
Parra markers have been offside nearly every tackle, but hometown Hayne wont ping the Eels |

I know I will cop it but as a QLDr I have to support the Titans to night even though I played for the Eels as a child in under 9's, 11's 13's and 15's.
Go the Titans |

Commiserations loki, it must have been a tough day for you. Melbourne served notice to all finals contenders with that display. I just saw a replay of Slater's tries on the news, bloody brilliant.
I hope you're right about GC and prissy Brissy but can't see it happening. |

Speaking from an entirely selfish and biased perspective - GO THE DOGGIES AND TITANS - FEAST ON THE FLESH OF THE WEAK AND MORALLY DEPRIVED.
Yum, yum, you can smell the horse flesh being BBQ'd from the Northern Beaches already:) |

Titans to down Broncos, home record is just to good for Titans, even if it is against Broncos
Knights to down Dog, these 2 always bring out the best in each other, and have had some great games over the year, but Kimmorley is just to much of a loss for the dogs |

Tonight's games.................... ..
I've tipped Brisbane to put Gold Coast to bed and Canterbury to crush Newcastle. Having read Gordon Tallis' comments re GC's "small" forwards an upset may be on the cards, if you'd call it an upset, because, afterall it's only Brisbane they're playing. Then, on the other hand Brissy may be primed for a big one not having any of their players gang banging any girl, or bloke, in a public dunny.
Canterbury without Noddy will do it tough but should be too powerful right across the park for Newcastle. |
