| let me tell you i think the precedent has been set with knees on a player scoring a try. hayne is gone without a doubt. |

I notice there is a lot of focus on the Eels having played their GF and the injury toll. And the other focus is the Hayne incident. IMHO, Hayne's knees were far from intentional, it all happened in a split second and he tucked his feet under him to avoid worse contact. He'll get off and so he should. If that's worthy of time on the sidelines, then these f4ggots need more lube and handbags and more time on Oxford St.
And with respect to the 'have the Eels played their GF' line, they've played their GF for the last 3 months and they keep winning! And we haven't seen the injury toll from the Storm Bongos clash yet. I'm tipping that game to be even more brutal and damaging. I wouldn't be surprised is the Eels have the healthier side going into the GF.
I'm tipping the Eels to win the GF with another superb team performance. Nobody backs up in support play as well, no one else presents as much flair in attack right across the park and with the Hayne train in express mode, hard to see them being stopped. |

9 day break, plus I have heard this for the last 3 weeks, apparantly they were all Parras GF.
I would be more concerned about how the hell Bongos or Grubs could possibly stop this juggernaught. |

But what is your take, as Parra fans, on the ability of the Eels to back up and play what is basically a second Grand Final in 9 days?
The build up, the crowd, the contest etc were all Grand Final like - and we have seen a long history of clubs being flat the week after a big game like that.
Personally, I'd be very surprised if Parra win the comp - regardless of which side gets up tonight.
Cayless won't play, he can talk up his chances all he likes but it ain't happening! |

| Yeah had to laugh at Hannant. After he shoved Hindmarsh he went to continue to play and realized "oh shiiit I better act injured again"...Walked off the field holding the wrong arm and shoulder. Don't expect him to get a starring role in Home and Away anytime soon. Neighbours maybe! |

The bulldogs were a bunch of soccer players too, Goodwin the second time, Stagg - hahahahahaha, they just couldn't cop the pace in the second half and faked injuries for breathers, even Hannant wasn't actually hurt, just a sleep on the floor, get up and shove Hindmarsh with the apparantly injured arm, then get a free interchange.
Fair enough it might be a chicken wing, but it didn't hurt. |

Hayne did not deliberately attack Goodwins head. It was an unfortunate incident, however it was clumsy and deserves a grade one.
Easily can be compared to the Thurston incident in SOO, although I think Thurston's was worse. |

| Hayne will get a few weeks for attacking the head of a player..OR will he get off scott free because they are in the grand final?..i have a sneaking suspicion he will get off, which will be a joke. |

Its a tough one, both blokes get off if they get grade 1 as they are not grubs with records.
Thurston and The Milkman both only got grade one for ninja kicks, but Hindmarsh, Gibbs and Merrit all did time. Gibbs is the most similar in that it was knees, but gibbs jumped on his back, hayne is going to ground as he dives on the ball, Luke Burt jumps in that situation and we all call him a cat, but if you are going to get there a split second late, its a good idea.
I haven't seen it again, does he get a step in after Goodwin grounds the ball, or is he already sliding at the ball? |

I see you point Nev, but Hayne was defending himself because the ref told him he was dangerous - any player would try to defend his actions.
It was dangerous and excatly like what Slater has done in the past - resulting in Parra fans on here calling him a grub etc. But, like I say with Slater, I think it is incidental and sloppy - not deliberate with intent to injure.
I'd let him play.
The chicken wing was bad, but not bad enough to rub someone out of a GF. Again, I think they were trying to slow him down or prevent an offload - just poor technique. |

I don't think Hayne's offence was intentional. Common sense says you don't do that in a GF playoff.
------------------------- ------------------------- --
seek;
If it was not intentional then why was he defending his actions to the ref by saying
"I didn't lead with my feet"
I put it to you seek that Hayne knew exactly what his intentions were and how to exploit the rule for leading with your feet.
Congratulations to Parramatta on the win.
There will be or should be 3 parra players on the sideline 2 for for the chicken wing and Hayne for leading with his knees in a dangerous manner.
I ask you all if it was Slater leading with his knees like that what would you call be? and would the officials send him off or would he get a 6 week suspension? |

Yeah, refs were awful - pretty even in the shocker stakes though, no side got any real rub of the green.
2 blokes on report for Parra though. Didn't see a lot in either, but we know the judiciary can occasionally come down hard on chicken wings and leading with the knees. I doubt they'd pick GF week to do it again though.
I do wonder if that was Parras GF though, could be tough for them to back it up - lucky for them they have more than a week to recover and prepare.
Big game tonight, another close one I think - fingers crossed for the Storm, but it won't be easy. |

For a bloke that had a "shocker", Hayne had a pretty good to excellent game for any other fullback. Near enough to 100m, 90% defencive efficiency including 25% 1 on 1, 30+m per kick from 11 kicks and one 40/20.
What a *** night at the office. |

The refs were pathetic tonight, not to a particular team, just in general, we had 4 sh1t calls in 5 mins at one point.
As much as I want the Broncos to win tomorrow, the thought of tellits bragging is just to much for another week. |

All those who say Hayne is a grub and overrated need to get over it.He is the best in the game by a long shot.
And to call Parra grubs just goes to show how stupid some people are.
There is no bigger pack of grubs in the game than the Storm closely followed by the Broncos and Dragons.
Parra played a lot of s.h.i.t footy tonight and it was still enough to beat the Dogs.
Dogs did well to come from the spoon las year to finish were they did but got rolled by a better class of players.
Expect to hear a lot of boo hoo from Dogs suporters that the game was poorly reffed but 80% of the calls in the first half went the way of the Dogs.
All ways next year Doggies. |

Parra fully deserve to be in the big one , against i hope, the Bongos.
Hindmarsh deserves a grand final trophy for his cabinet. One of my fav all time players . |
