O.K, back to the w/ends footy.
Saints get rolled.
Manly, Parra and Tigers run up big scores against very mediocre opposition.
Doggies win away from home and weren't too bad in doing so.
Titans yet to drop the bundle.
Ya gotta love the fact the 8 is in NO WAY set this late in the season. |

Well folks we better brace ourselves because "tellit" will be planning its escape from the institute so it can find a puter to dribble on. |

<<<Canterbury played a very good 2nd half. They showed enough to suggest that beating them will be tough. At the business end of the season the cream must rise to the top and Canterbury are rising well.>>>
You saying the bulldogs are gonna collectively cream themselves? |

They DON'T carry the ball on the head, neck or shoulders either. |

"Fair chew of the sausage"
I mean really why was his arm around the head of a tackled player in the first place?
Should have been a penalty to the Titans according to the replay.
Goes back to your previous comments about tackling around the legs. I can't understand why these professional players keep ending up with arms arouns the head and shoulders of the tackled players. They don't run with their heads, necks or shoulders. They carry the ball on the head, neck or shoulders either. |

How soft are the players of today. I just witnessed a Souths player running to the ref saying that he was chewed on the arm by a GC player who was named, Zillman. Sure, it can't be done, but fair dinkum the Souths player was not hurt but had to go and tittle tat.
Unless your nuts are bitten off, players should shut their mouth and get on with the game. The time will come for a get square. |

I was taught "They can not run without legs". I see it time after time defence players getting piggy backed down the paddock. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 players hanging off the attacking player. Then you get a small player like Campbell who can bring down the biggest forward in full flight by a text book tackle around the legs.

Thurston and Bowen, both rep footballers failed to stop the Canterbury try in the 56th minute by trying to tackle the ball carrier high from behind.
I've seen Jamie Soward do the same thing as well as Matt Cooper and Ben Hornby. One day first grade players will twig that if they take the attacking player's legs, especially from behind, then they will bring the player down.
I know I'm an old f.cker but when I first started following the game, it was the done thing to tackle around the legs. |

You hav got to be kidding me. No way was Morris onside and he knocked that ball on.
Apart from that the rest was great footy. |
