| Earlier I said that the Eels will win the GF. Now I'm not so sure. The Storm absolutely pummeled Brisbane 40-10 and beat Manly 40-12 easily also and seem to have no real injury concerns. Slater is firing also. I'm starting to think that the Hayne train may have just got stopped. Melbourne were clinical tonight. Unrelenting, easy metres, pinpoint in finishes, scary. It is going to be a cracker of a game. Slater and Hayne (arguably the best 2 players in the game atm) carving it up on the centre stage in the big one. Should be entertaining and I'll go out early and say Melbourne 22, Eels 18. |

Aside from the brilliance of the likes of Haynes and Inglis, the defensive drill seems to be aimed at dislocating limbs and generally cheating the rule book to gain an unfair advantage. | Brisbane forwards won them the game last week and lost it tonight. Far too many soft metres up the middle. How easy was it for Melbourne to find openings in the Brissy pack. Lockyer may be a good fullback and pivot but he's no halfback. As much as I enjoyed the game I was disappointed Melbourne eased up after Brissy's first try. If they kept up the intensity who knows what the score would have been. Even in second gear they were too hot for prissy Brissy. As I said, I'll TELLIT as I see I should TELLIT. |

| Yes the precedent has been set and although I would not like to see Hayne suspended, a new precedent will be set if he is not. I believe that if Smith was rubbed out of last years finals for an infringement on play then Hayne is in serious trouble. If not then look out for Slater leading in with knees and all in future. |
