As the storm have a field of QLD players in the team I am routing for them.
Too much media beat up on Hayne and Moimoi. Having said that they will probably come out and play the best games of thier lives.
Go the Storm! |

| Congrats Storm for a well deserved win. We were in it right up until the kick off. Went to the game, very vocal crowd support, bloody freezing night. Nearly 28000 for the same day as the pong final was not a bad crowd . |

That "try" actually came from an incorrect play of the ball anyway. But Slaters try should have been paid, touchie was right there but as always couldn't see a thing.
Fingers crossed they dont make calls like that in the GF |

The funny thing was, if there was a straighter camera angle, from directly behind the deadball, it would have shown alot of seperation, sideways, towards the touchline, but the only angle they used was from the other touchline, and the hand was infront of the ball.
I can see what the retard video ref was thinking, but that is an incorrect way to use the BOD rule.
The ref is right *** king there, surely a refs call. |

| DJ didn't score, no doubt - but fatdad is right, Slater scored a few minutes earlier and it wasn't even looked at. I think it was a square up! |

Yeah, Johnson, LOL, he knew he didn't score too.
But it just cancelled out the Slater debacle earlier on.
Thaiday tries his guts out in a losing team, so did Kenny and TC.
I am worried that against Melbourne, getting over the line is not enough, they get under it, then get 3 blokes to lie around obstructing the cameras, very smart play. |

and on cliches, defence will win this game overall, even if the winning try is slate/hayne/inglis magic.
The Bulldogs led into half-time in our game, despite being an inferior team across the park, and losing the stats and ruck. The same as we did against the Saints, except our second half is very strong, and if we lead by 7 or more into the break, cant see us losing. |

SDM - Let's also not forget the absolutely ridiculous decision to award that try to Dallas Johnson too.
But we were never really in it. Farking ridiculous game plan to try and keep shifting it wide all night without a halfback. We had to play exactly the same as last week to be in with a chance. Didn't aim up, got belted. |

Colxxxx, did Manly and the Broncos make the Storm look good or did the Storm make them look bad?
Bit like Parra really, were they that good or were St George, Gold Coast and the Dogs just bad?
I think sides only play as well as they are allowed too - the Storm didn't give the Broncos a sniff. |

Melbourne won't hang back and let Hayne do as he pleases like the Dogs did. This could shut Parra down, or it may open up a few chances via a quick offload.
People will see things in a way that suits their viewpoint - so the theories will be coming thick and fast.
It will all come down to the team that plays/handles the situation better.
Previous games mean fk all - it comes down to 80 minutes (damn cliches!). |

| Yeah, good game by Storm but lets face it, they won easily cos Broncos never came to play. Even a scoolboys team would have beaten them yesterday. The Broncos really made storm look good. We'll see next week eh. |

Still can't believe he ran that, with 2 open guys to his right.
Why did they continue to play the right side of the field, when the past weeks, they have been so good on the left side of the field with Dave Taylor |

It is a very interesting match up, people will try and tell you Melbourne are not battle hardened, and others will say they are fresh and ready to run Parra ragged.
Dont believe either, you will just have to wait and see.
If Brissie take thier opportunties and Falou doesn't do an Idris impersonation, and Ben Teo doesn't hog a 3 man overlap, it could have easily been say Melbourne 16-12 at half time, and then it is a different game. |

Cam Smith last year was irrelevant, he was the victim of his earlier charge, which left him with 93 carryover points, Hayne has 0.
So he has a far greater chance of playing than Cam Smith did.
All they have to show is less intent than Bryce Gibbs, because he got grade 2. Hopefully wont have to go the downgrade route, too disrupting, hopefully just a grade 1 charge today and an early guilty.
Parra have been knocked out of the finals by Melbourne the last 2 times they made it, but they were both in Melbourne. |

The correct decision, IMO, will be to give Hayne a grade 1 charge - he can take the early guilty plea and play the GF.
I'd hate to have him missing, even though his absence would basically hand the Storm the premiership.
Should be a great GF, may the best team win! |

chucker and surfersgreens
You two sound like a couple of cry babies who's teams got beaten.
People call for consistancy and want Hayne gone.
Here is consistancy for ya.
Soward kicks Inglis in the face and gets a grade one and plays the following week.
SOO Grub Thurston boots Gidley ( I think it was Gidley ) in the face and gets off scott free.
Consistancy says Hayne gets Grade 1 as it should be and he takes his rightful place in the GF! |

Common sense says Melbourne win, and win easily. They will have an uninterrupted preparation, they have some of the best players in the world who all have premiership experience, and are in dominant form.
Then again, common sense say the team running 14th at the halfway mark of the comp can't make the grand final... |
