Um, refs dont, and will continue not to go to the video ref to check onside from a midfield bomb kicked inline with pocket ref and 2 touch judges.
Fool. 7-2 and one was for out on the full. |

Obese
Nothing like a one-eyed fool - I follow neither side and the ref gave bad decisions both ways - I thought they were trying to even up the game like harrigan used to do in the old days and you may argue Parras bad decisions were more influential than the saints ones but I think they won it fair and square on the day. I just raised the point about the Burt try because I cant work out when refs go to the video ref.. |

im with u niner, i hate malbourne, but i have been nothing but impressed as of late. They are blasting teams, not with parra-like brilliance, but with such a cerebral and deliberate game plan that no team is yet to overcome.
Its almost as if they make all teams believe that they'll have to do something extraordinary to beat them, and do it 4 or 5 times in a game.
If its Parra and Storm, it literally will be the irresistible force vs the immovable object. Cant wait. |

I think that if Parra make the GF and so do Storm and if Parra are playing at there best they will account for the Storm no probs.
I think the winner of the Ponies v Dragqueens game will beat the storm though. Don't care which one of these two wins as i hate both teams equaly.
Eels should do the Titans but i think will struggle against the Dogs. |

Fatdad, I hope you are right as I don't think Parra can beat Melbourne in the GF.
Really, if we get to the big one, Canterbury are the only possible opposition that I think CAN beat us - the GC are no chance. |

Off side?
*** k off masterade you fool, if Parra get a decision, a single *** king decision we would have won by more, everytime the dragons lost it we stripped it, Cooper strips Grothe, nup, we dropped it. Hand off it son. |

Haven't you seen the Mafia running Parra these days?
I just dont think the bulldogs have enough to beat us. They were one of the easier games of our run. |

| Parra were too good but if Sowards pass had found Morris instead of Grothe it would all be different...Just goes to show that putting in Hindmarsh and a better winger on Morris and the sudden death effect on the Eels makes all the difference. Can anyone tell me why the referee only sometimes goes to the video - Burts first try off the kick when Sailor didnt go for it looked marginally offside but the ref nor Channel 9 replayed it yet other tryline bombs they replay incessantly. At least Channel 9 normally has a look.. |

I also saw the Storm and Eels going out in the first round just last week, so make of that what you will....

It's funny how so many of us just felt that the Melb v Manly game was sudden death. It shows how close the top 8 has been this year. |

Manly were rubbish
Second tackle, Watmough drops the ball cold in the play the ball 15 m out from his tryline , Robinson dropped a sitter of a bomb next set of six , the backs overread a Melbourne backline move and conceded an easy try two minutes later, and Kite tried to tackle with his head from the kickoff and went off concussed.
And to top it off, Manly has put in a written complaint to Jetstar asking why their halfback got left on the tarmac |

I hope you're right! :P
But the Dogs, IMO, are the team to beat. If the Storm play Canterbury in the decider, I could be staring at a 3rd friggin GF loss in 4 years!!!! |

I think the Storm shut off with 15 to play, not wanting injuries etc.
But I agree, Manly were woeful. But the question is, I suppose - were Manly that bad BECAUSE of how good Melbourne were?
It doesn't matter though, playing that well doesn't guarantee them a win next start.
We are 80 minutes away from a 4th GF in a row - may the Broncs and Dragons beat the living 5hit out of each other next week!!!! |

Its really hard to say Nye, were Manly any good?
Hasler has claimed if Storm keep playing like that, no one will even get close, but ofcourse he would echo that sentiment.
Sea Eagles carries an injured Judas, had no 5/8, a missing 7, a knocked-out out of form prop, and probably one of the smaller sides they have fielded in recent times. From their forwards, only Rose and JWH went any good.
But the Strom still impressed for 60 odd minutes, game is 80 though... |

I want some 'unbiased' opinion here. But did everyone else see the Storm as the most impressive side on the weekend?
It doesn't mean a lot for the next games, as St George and Parra will testify, but I think Melbourne just settled into finals with ease.
Eels will beat the Gold Coast, that'll set up a spiteful prelim final between the Eels and Dogs.
- the NRL would love to see Parra v Canterbury and Melbourne v Brisbane in the GF qualifyers I'd say, they are 2 of the biggest rivalries in the game. |
