I just want a coach who doesn't play the storm again this year, and who's side ISN'T in the finals and who doesn't have some sort of grudge, to come out with the claim.
If Steve Folks comes out and says it - I'll listen! |

| I know there is no set period to comment but I am just wondering why it took so long to say something? |

Ummm, it would make the comment more valid if it is said when the teams are not heading into a match.
There is no set period for when coaches can comment on another side stormy u fool.
Christ you come out with some c//rap. |

| I have yet to hear a commentator during a STORM game this season mention an illegal tackle. If fittler had a problem with tackles during the game between STORM and the chooks why didn't he mention it back in Rd 3 or 4 when we played them instead of rd 20? |

If it is really happening as rival coaches say - why are the refs not blowing the whistle? Whay are the cameras not picking it up?
All of the coaches that have ever mentioned it are fighting with the Storm for the premiership. Manly haven't said anything this year because the feel they don't need to - they are good enough to turn up to play and win.
The others (like the Broncos in 2006), realise they are a class below and need to go with the mind games.
I am not saying Melbourne don't do it, I'm sure it happens - but it also happens with every club. Big Petro was one of the major campaigners against it, yet in last years finals match v Melbourne he did 3 in a minute! all clear as day, and 1 was penalised.
I don't have the figures, but how many have been penalised for it this year? and how many of those are Storm players?
If you took in the reaction from others you'ds be convinced EVERY ONE of them should be Melbourne players! |

Where there's smoke there's fire.
What can they do though? |

Nathan Brown has come out publicly and questioned the tactics employed by the Melbourne Storm in the ruck area,
stating their tactics are illegal, and quoting the Storm have invented a new tactic, the shin boner , where the tackler rubs his shin bone along the tackled player's achilles tendon in an effort to slow the play the ball.
Brown has joined a list of other coaches - test coach Ricky Stuart, Wayne Bennett , Brad Fittler, Qld SOO coach Mal Meninga and Graham Murray, in questioning the tactics of Craig Bellamy.
.IN the final round of regular season 2005, Carl Webb was charged and suspended for 6 weeks after belting Dallas Johnson in the head after being grappled in a tackle ( interesting his charge was not downgraded by the judiciary despite obvious provocation) and Murray took the unusual step for him, to make comments about the Storm's tactics in a post match interview.
Two and a half years later, opposition coaches are still commenting about negative and illegal Storm tactics
When are the powers that be in the NRL going to act on these claims??? The coaches have been asking for over two years now. |
