You said Falou wouldn't leave too. And Blair.

Why would Cronk be any different?
---

Blair isn't leaving, he has re-signed.

I dont see any reason to shift Bird. Just slot prince into half. Club combos is the only thing that make sense for Cronk being selected.

I dont think it matters who takes halfback though. The aussies should still beat the kiwis. Will be interesting to see how they go with Bennent involved.

Re:Thurston in Doubt for Test Reply to this message
maybe you are right seek. I am glad BILLY got his chance cos he SOOO DESERVED it.He is the best full back so far this season.

------------------------- ------------------------- ----------------

Slater gets his chance from playing some good football. Other fullbacks are going alright, however he is currently the form fullback in the comp.

Prince would have to be the form half at the moment and he cant even land a spot as 2nd selection?

If Thurston is out and Cronk had a freak injury would Prince get 3rd pick?

The right option really is to play Gidley at 6 and Prince at 7. Bird on the Bench if at all and Cronk back to Melbourne. Now that's a combination I'd like to see.

Yeah I'd say Stuart is pushing for Cronk, seeing as the sharks are cutting Kimmorley loose at the end of the year.

I think the club combo and the narrow time frame has a bit to do with it too.

He might not even play though - Thurston can easily carry an injury into a game and not have it affect his performance

aussie selectors must have $$$ on Titans to win this weekend - only reason i can see that LaFrancchi and Prince arent playing

With Cronk off contract next year, do you think Stuart is dangling a Sharks carrot in front of him?

Re:Thurston in Doubt for Test Reply to this message
Stick your combos up your arze BK. It is rep footy and while it is advantageous it should not effect the selection outcomes.

Re:Thurston in Doubt for Test Reply to this message
Hunt isnt a rep level half yet seek.

Prince should have got it. Terrible terrible decision to bring Cronk it - but he'll probably have a blinder.

I'd say because it's so last minute is why Cronk got it, because of the club combos.

No Stormy I don't think he would have.

Hard to say he SHOULD have either when he has had so little game time this year.

Re:Thurston in Doubt for Test Reply to this message
Yes Nye, Gidley has played 7 games but one was not a t full back. Isn't that the position we are arguing?

But that's good that you want to include that game because it increases his average tackles and reduces his average missed and ineffective even further.

Stormy, did you not comprehend what I said about Smith, *** er and Inglis?

I don't give a fugg which club someone is from as long as they are the best for the job.

Slater and Cronk AREN'T

Re:Thurston in Doubt for Test Reply to this message
Gidley has played 7 also.

Anyway, it is all just perspective isn't it. I, and many others, believe Slater is easily the best fullback. You, and many others, will disagree.

One thing we do agree on is that either one will not let Australia down.
