| There was a thing in todays paper that said Webb got the most votes by other players , as the toughest player in the nrl. I don't know how. Obviously they see something no-one else does. Or they have long memories of when he played tough a couple of years ago. Dunno. |

| Maybe they'll start Mick Croker. It'll be a strong pack this year. The only injuries so far is to Pricey. Go the Queenslanders. |

| I must admit I was surprised Carl Webb got a jumper. His handling hasn't been great this year and I don't think his form up to this point warrants test selection. Sure there are a dearth of decent props around for Australia but personally I would have picked Sam Thaiday in Webb's spot. He has been playing out of his skin for the Broncs. and I'm a NSW fan ! |

| Get Tawera Nickau out there - gee 'em up by decking big Carl Webb with his prosthetic leg. If that doesnt get em fired up they deserve to lose. |

Remember back 25 odd years ago.Plyers like Olsen Filipana who was flat out securing a spot in reserve grade for the Bears. He was put in the NZ team at 5/8 opposite the King, and was the best player on the ground and NZ won the game. Mark Graham , Kurt Sorenson and Dane ,Dean Bell , Hugh Mcgahan ,Kevin Tamati , Mark Broadhurst and others i cant think of . There were a lot of Kiwis back then who , while playing pretty dirty , showed the Aussies how to play with fierce pride , aggressive , powerful, etc.
Back then the Haka was just the beginning of the display of passion by the Kiwis. Now, it is often the only sign of passion.
If they can get back the passionate , really fierce aggressive style of play , then they can put any team off and can cause an upset . |

truth of the matter is, carl webb is only in the squad to protect scaredy cat mason, who still has palpitations everytime a wall of kiwi jerseys come at him.....
Kidwell, Pritchard, Faalogo, Asotasi..they're all coming to get you big boy...and there's nothing that midget Webb can do about it |

You have a Kiwis backrow of SBW, Fa'alogo, Kidwell & Pritchard.
Do you see now why Carl Webb is in the side? |

| It always amazes me to read the comments of guys who have obviously never laced on a boot, let alone played in the forwards,Carl Webb will not let this side down, those Kiwi forwards are tough and Carl may not be a fancy stepper but he wont take one step backward against those guys. There is a lot of good work put in on the field that the average fan doesnt notice, but players out there, coaches on the sideline and experienced selectors do. |

| I saw him do a wrap around from the dummy half, threw a cut out ball, and the Bronc's scored a try. |

| Once the the test has been played we will see if the selectors got it right. People questioned Greg Birds selection at 5/8 last year and he had a ripper. |
