| This from Speedcafe. The purchase of the REC will see the Webbs become the REC owners and use it at Dlck Johnson Racing, who will field a third car. Webb has secured a deal with Triple Eight Race Engineering to purchase one of its current TeamVodafone Falcon FGs, which will be run out of the legendary Queensland team’s shop next year. Webb, the leader of the Fujitsu V8 Series with one round to go, drove for the Jim Beam Racing team in this season’s endurance races, finishing with a best result of sixth at the L&H 500 at Phillip Island. DJR has also secured all of the running gear from the soon-to-be defunct Paul Cruickshank Racing team, which has used Triple Eight equipment this year. DJR will also buy PCR’s team transporter. |

| 888 have had their merchandise heavily discounted since atleast Bathurst and last year didnt discount till the Sunday at Oran Park. None of this years 888 merchandise has FORD on it anyway. |

Having to build new VEs and being stuck with 3 or 4 FG V8SC and with low merchandise sales for the year could be affecting T8 budget. All the teams had specials going at Wanaroo, it's close to the end of the season and most would be wanting to dump stock to get ready for next years new gear. 888 have to get rid of their merchandise as next years will have Holden on it. |

| In the V8SC field i can only see the sale of maybe 1 T8 FG now and thats if the Webb/DJR bid for the REC is successful. With the c.o.t.f in 2011 maybe or 2012 for sure theres not much use in purchasing extra/spare cars. |
