FPR could have 28 cars, and the Kelly bros will still beat them next year:)

tk, yes they are running the 3 side by side, so they will be where RNR finishes in pit lane.

runner muck do you forget where HRT finished last year?
4th in the team championship.

1 whole year of the new FG FALCON under their belt, at least 3 cars worth of data each race and Campbell Little.

They will be back to beating HRT again, with at least 1 car.

But they are running the team together, I read somewhere that they are running the 3 cars next to each other in pitlane, wouldn't they have to be 1 team to do that seeing as fpr would get 3rd pick for position and rod nash racing are far down the list?

I know what you mean todd regarding 3 cars and one garage. I think it may be that Rod Nash is getting a FPR car but still running under their own garage.

Thats right Matt. It will be an FPR car run by Rod Nash. Very strong links with the factory team though.

Re:Dumbrell to FPR? Reply to this message
Other than dumbrell, there is a number of other drivers either in or out off contracts tht any other team for whatever reason ( usually $$) would usually chop and change around. the goal as I see is to get to a stable workable base (garanteed funding) on a commercial level with the goal being a driver that is personable and sellable to the race going public and not scared to be out there signing gear and taking photos. We all know and analyise daily a number off top 12 drivers that given a break with a measure of good luck could be podium finishers any given Sunday on race meeting w/end.........cheers, give us a few names?

The ole "Oh sorry did you want to get out? We won't be long" trick.

Sounds like the dlckheads at the shopping centre that sit there for 20 minutes waiting for the parking spot and holding up 10 cars wanting to get past.

Re:Dumbrell to FPR? Reply to this message
I still don't get why FPR are going into a 3 car team again, they tried it once, and pretty much failed. Good luck to Dumbrell though, and what happened to holden_skaifes, definite Bright to FPR 3rd car.

Problem with a 3 top driver lineup is, with the 3 garage all together. You have 3 guys at the front of the grid (you would assume), safety car comes out, which driver do you pit? or do you queue all 3 cars up? lol

Dumbrell to FPR? Reply to this message
Expect to see Paul Dumbrell switch from a factory Holden to a factory Ford in 2010.

The 27 year-old has emerged as the man most likely to take the reigns of the #55 The Bottle-O Racing entry that will be run by Ford Performance Racing next season.

Speedcafe spoke to Dumbrell today (in Las Vegas at a trade show), and while he said that no deal has been signed yet, the option to switch from Walkinshaw Racing to Ford Performance Racing was real.

“I haven’t signed a deal as yet,” he said.

“I’ve been away for a few days, so it’s given me a chance to have a think about things and allow me to make a decision on my return. At the current time, there’s nothing locked away as yet.

“I’ve been very fortunate to drive for Holden for all of my career and all of the people there have been extremely good to me, and the loyalty they have shown me is a factor in the decision.

“I’ve been with the best Holden team for the last two years, but I’ve got to look at my future from a personal view. There’s going to be no right or wrong answer with this. It will just be a personal choice.”

Dumbrell will return from Las Vegas on Thursday before making his way to Phillip Island for this weekend’s round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series – The Island 300 – this weekend.

It was announced last week that Rod Nash Racing, the owner of the #55 Racing Entitlements Contract, will partner with Ford Performance Racing as a third factory entry in the V8 Championship Series next year.

RNR has a strong link with the Dumbrell family, with past entries being sponsored by Dumbrell-owned companies Autobarn and Autopro.

The ‘Dumbrell to Ford’ deal isn’t the first time that ‘PD’ has looked like crossing to the Blue Oval. Dumbrell was ‘all but’ a Stone Brothers Racing driver in 2008 before a late deal was struck for him to remain at Holden with Walkinshaw Racing. Dumbrell has been at Walkinshaw’s team ever since.
