Just getting a thread up as news is filtering thru,
I appreciate others that post MotoGP news.
Similar to last year's thread.
Please keep your Taxi racing out of this. |

Vermeulen
Meanwhile, fellow Australian Chris Vermeulen will go to Sepang boosted by an encouraging three-day trial at Phillip Island, where he c l o c k ed up more than 250 laps.
Vermeulen said that with new parts from Suzuki, he and teammate Loris Capirossi managed times quicker than at last year's Australian Grand Prix.
"We have definitely taken a step forward with the bike and we certainly have a direction with all the parts that we tested to make significant improvements in next year's tests," Vermeulen said. |

Stoner.
FORMER world MotoGP champion Casey Stoner is hopeful he will be fit for pre-season testing in Malaysia next month.
The 23-year-old Australian is slowly regaining full strength after surgery on his left wrist to correct problems caused by an old injury.
The Australian will be joined at Ducati this season by 2006 world champion Nicky Hayden, who will shoulder much of the testing at Sepang from February 5-7.
"I'm 99 per cent certain that I will be riding at Sepang although I doubt it would be at full fitness," Stoner said.
He has been sidelined since late October when he had the operation in Italy.
"This is probably the longest period I've gone without riding a bike at all since I was three years old," he said.
Stoner said a bone graft was taken from his hip to help repair the scaphoid fracture he had been riding with last year.
"There was a bit of bone that had been floating around in there for a while and the doctor could just pull it out, that's how loose it was," he said.
Before the operation, Stoner took part in testing with Hayden at Valencia, in Spain.
"We're not going to change a heck of a lot with the bike," he said.
"We'll wait on Nicky and the others (at Sepang) for information and there's not too much that a small factory like us can change anyway.
"In Valencia, myself and Nicky were both fastest on two different days in different conditions so that shows we've got a good bike already." |

Kawasaki Pulls out
January 10, 2009 12:00am
KAWASAKI has confirmed it will withdraw from MotoGP, with the Japanese company forced to reduce costs amid the global economic crisis.
"We saw the need for efficient redistribution of our management resources and have decided to forgo participation in the MotoGP from 2009 on," the company said in a statement yesterday.
Kawasaki, which joined the racing circuit in 2003, spends about $61 million annually to run the team.
But reports that Australian Chris Vermeulen's Suzuki team would follow Kawasaki out of MotoGP have been denied.
A spokesman for Vermeulen's teammate, Loris Capirossi, said Suzuki would be on the grid for the season-opener in Qatar on April 12, but will be cutting its budget.
"It's 150 per cent certain that Loris will race next season with Suzuki," Carlo Pernat told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. "The contracts with Loris and Vermeulen are already signed." |
