| 40% more cars next year, that would be a first in F1 history. |

| i think the changes they have already made this year are enough for a while.in recent years we've had differant teams win races and championships other than the big two.if they keep fiddleing with it it will end up like A1 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz |

| If they use too much fuel, or have a leak or something, its going to be a case of tough luck - I remember cars sometimes running out of fuel during the 80's and early 90's, and having to pull over to the side of the road. The only fuel rigs required now will be standard ones, not the hi-flow safety rigs used this season. |

| They still have to refuel, not to mention fuel leaks and using to much fuel during the race, they will still have the fuelling rigs there in case. Still using the same amout of fuel per race, and they are still using those men, even if they not in the pitstop |

| No expensive refueling rig, no need for stewards to have to check these rigs every race, two less people in the pit box per pit stop - the saving's, although minor in the overall scheme of things, are there. |

| How is no refuelling a cost cutting measure? |

The no-refueling rule is a cost cutting and safety measure. Most rule changes of late have had those factors in find - trying to slow the cars down, and trying to save a dollar for the teams.
The reg's had refueling re-introduced to F1 in the mid-90's, to try to spice things up a little. No refueling will mean really heavy cars on cold tires at the start, with speed gradually coming on as the load burns off, so engineers will have to re-design suspension geometry, etc, to cope with the extra weight.
The rules for this season have only been in place for a year, you would think they would leave it for another year or two before tweaking it again. |

Yer i was only joking scotty, jsut making a mockery of the farce from the v8s at Indy. But the way f1s are heading, they will soon be like it. Are all these ideas really helping f1 or is it just making it worst, no fuelling? wtf is that!
Sure the racing was closer this year, but was it really closer, or was it just that Ferrari and McLaren didn't have time to setup a car to the new rules. The guys in the middle of the pack has always been a good battle, but Ferrari and McLaren have dominated, so what are they going to do, every 2nd year change the rules outstandingly so that Ferrari and McLaren are taken out of it to make fair races? |

Surely you jest!!?? Who decides what constitutes a good start? And for what reason?
I know if the red-flag a race due to a starting incident, they would re-form as per original grid positions. |

| I heard that if they don't like the start, they are going to recall it and restart from original grid positions, seems to be what they do when they are trying to fark up series |

| Apart from the ban on refueling and the gentleman's agreement not to use KERS, are there any other major changes to the regulations? |

| I think Renault have been testing. 2nd driver has most fuel a driver has had on all year, enough to last more then half the race |

The KERS was really only used as a catch up for Ferrari and McLaren this year as they did not have time to setup there car last year due to championship battle right to the end.
KERS is allowed next year, but all teams have made an agreement not to use it. |

| the only thing that i see as 'unfair' is that some cars had KERS and others did'nt,as far as everything else goes let the teams with the best designers win, thats what F1 is all about. |

| Next year in F1 all teams should have identical arrangements to their set up, with only modifications to those set ups allowed. This year with some cars having this and some cars going without does nothing to enhance driver capability. F1 is not a level playing field, so we really never get an idea as to who is the best driver or pit crew capabilities. |

I agree, foreverblue, a great finish to the race - if it was one lap longer, Mark was a goner! Great to see the two experienced drivers able to fight without touching or barging into each-other - awesome sight! Great drive by Vettel to collect his fourth win of the season, and the third race win in a row by Reb Bull.
Next year's race season is already garnering great interest with four new teams, can hardly wait! |

Did my wish just come true...Hamilton out with some sort of problem...Vettel is now in the lead and Webber is 2nd...GO MARK...:)
lol I loved that comment about the sun also reddog...I have to say on a whole I like McConville as a commentator he normally makes sense...:)
I like the spectacle of the dusk race...isn't that what they want the Albert Park race to be...a night race so the people overseas don't have to sit up late lol poor them...we have to sit up late for everything and just once it seems fair that they sit up late. |
