| supercharged v6 was purposely under boosted as it would have made the v8 at the time look stupid. 180kw as against 185kw. I have seen many with a 10lb boost pulley that easily keep with standard v8,s |

Yes the COMMODORE did outsell the FALCON.
The COMMODORE outrecalled the FALCON too.
Yet DRIVE.COM rates the AU FACON better than its rival COMMODORE models, yes ugly but a superior vehicle in all other aspects. |

Whilst the Department of Transport & Regional Services has reported only two cases of loose studs and one case of a missing stud, Ford's warranty data highlights a further 28 vehicles, from the 233,791 manufactured, which may have experienced this concern. Ford is voluntarily instigating the recall to check that the concern is not more widespread.
STILL IS ONLY 1 RECALL

With the look of the standard AU, i found it odd that HOLDEN went a very similar rounded style with the VX.
------------------------- ------------------------- ----------
very true....but holden got away with it,with the vx completely outselling the au |

The AU only had 5 recalls which was very low if you take into account the model ran for 5 years.
The standard AU was a very ordinary looking car the S1 XR was not to bad.
FORD got it right with the S2 xr6 & 8 along with the T-series they looked and are still hot.
