I wonder if they salt any roads over here like over seas due to ice problems on the roads?
Mind you with salty sea spray off the coast will increase the chance of rust starting on the car. It could start on an untreated car damage or deep stone chip. |

| I just cant see any car regardless of make having rust problems in that time especially if the plated bits were tarnished. We used to have problems up north ,as the salt trucks used to dump salt all over the main rd 24hrs a day. When it rained, the road would froth up like soap, and a lot of the older cars would rust out in no time. I havnt seen the same problems with newer cars in that same time frame |

The VE must be made further out at sea with cheaper chinese steal.
TEngineer Says:
December 17th, 2007 at 3:46 pm
I purchased a Calais V series V8 and took delivery in August 07. The car was manufactured in Jan 07. Since then the car has been in for numerious warranty repairs to the rear suspension and front suspensions. The rear ones are resolved after 3 attempts. The front is ongoing. However the major issue I have is the non matching bumper bar paintwork to the rest of the car and the rust all over the car. The manifolds are so rusted it is hard to believe they are less than a year old. There is also considerable rust under both front seats. Every door hinge has rust appearing and all the internal screws has evidence of oxidisation. Holden Rep will be viewing the car again as I have taken the matter to the OFT to sort out. Mind you the dealer agrees with all the issues however Holden says it is within TOLERANCE. |

| I believe that one_hd and f.o.r.d. have had the most recalls, there has been so many to try and fix them that they have just given up |

the tow truck drivers will be rubbing their hands waiting for this to the road!!
WTF? In english please?
I can guarantee you that ford will adopt a similar system of cylindar shutoff. Why would it break down if it has been used since 86?? Surely electronics has progressed since then??? |

One wonders if the company that have just started using this outdated technology are a "(expletive deleted) joke", what is the company that is not yet thinking of modernising to the dinosaur age?
Of course that would be descending into the schoolyard argument over who has the best cheap, outdated, mass produced piece of garbage. |
