| Being on consecutive weekends, I know a few from here in Qld that do both events (lucky boorstards!) Planning your holidays around that is the go! Oh well, keep dreaming! (sigh) |

| Because Australia is so car driven is a good reason why there are so many 'bites' on the car forums. I think it's healthy to have a bit of rivalry, but it gets to the point where they start personal attacks and it goes sour. I am a big supporter of the MotoGP and would love to go to PI for a round one year, but the timing of the clash with Bathurst is awkward. I was raised with the traditional Bathurst weekend, and have continued that tradition after my father passed away, although I have broken tradition a few times to go to Bathurst. The problem is recovering financially to be able to afford to do both. Maybe a win in the lotto could change that:-) |

| TA Kaz, will do! And yep luck i know, Working in the industry also helps but as you know its not what you know but who....I'll have a swig of rossi's champagne for ya kaz ok..:P... Its mostly tounge in cheek scott, however reading the bile in the car threads, doesnt do any favours to decent car fantatics IMO...... For me its bikes but each to their own hey. At the Moto gp with good weather the crowds are usually around 70 or 80 tho.... Not to bad considering its a VERY small percentage of Bike riders in comparasin to car driverin Aus. And the Moto gp is small scale here in Aus compared to europe. Bathurst is an Aus race full of Aussies in comparsin to the european dominated Moto Gp, and believe me Moto Gp in europe is HUGGGEEEEEE. So i'd say 70 or 80 tho in Aus is AWESSOOMMEEEE! |
