Yeah the old man used to have Hilux's then Mazda?Fords but they are all made in Thailand too and ya sure can feel it.
He's now got the latest Navare ST-X made in Spain and its a quality unit compared to the rest. |

| Wouldnt be surprised at all to see honda and yamaha shift a factory to china. I think the yammy peewee 50 is already made there. Thailand makes all the hilux,s from around 4yrs ago.I had the last 11 models of them thru work(new one every yr)and the thai ones are absolute garbage |

I see the Chinese are making Outboards even,
Not that I'd buy one.
Yamaha and Honda have such quality Fuel injected 4strokes out nowadays and the chinese will be yrs away from that. |

| Bit of a kick in the pants for other engine manufacturers tho. KTM, Aprilia and the like, have invested countless millions.I see Lifan (chinese) has a couple of 125,s not reliable as yet, but give them time |

Wonder how Honda got the gig?
Obviously $$$ but at least The Teams will now be closely aligned with the frame builders I suppose.
As for the 125's maybe their plans are a year later.
hopefully they will stay single cylinder tho. |

In 2008 discussions arose surrounding the replacement of the 2-stroke 250cc class with another category. The move to 600cc 4-stroke engines to replace the current 250s has been finalized as of June 2008 and will take effect in 2011 [7] The new class will be called Moto2. Engines will be produced by Honda[8]; electronics will be limited and supplied only by FIM sanctioned producers; carbon-fibre brakes will be banned and only steel brakes will be allowed. However, there will be no chassis limitations

| 250,s are going to be a mixture of 250,s and the new 600cc honda supplied motors for 2010 and then the 250,s get phased out. dont know about the 125,s. I know there were rumours that they were going to 400cc 4 strokes, maybe 1 manufacturer again, but I havnt seen anything yet. Will try some research on this. |

Well the 250's were going to be a 500 or 600 4cyl all the same control engine supported by different frame manufacturers..
Wonder if that would be like Harris etc from the old days?
As for the 125's.. maybe 250 ort 450 Singles perhaps? |
