| I dont agree with the new formula either MT. One manufacturer engine is like formula A1.I would love to have seen 600 aprilias,ducatis,,ktm,s in the same mould as the 800,s. But it seems like this will be not so. but with different frame manufacturers like harris bimota etc ,they may release road bike versions ,albeit with honda engines.Apparently all the engines are to be supplied by one British company. it may kill the formula eventually, unless further down the line , they allow other engines in | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I dont really agree red, They already have enough production based racing. Unless an R8 is in the wings of course. |

| Well I know a few years back, they were going to replace the 250,s with 400,s as this was going to be the new production class as well. Never happened. I suppose they chose the 600, as this is the new class for supersports , and the engines would be readily available. It sounds like the 250,s may be more of a production base, with no limitations on chassis design.We could get some real nice road bikes out of this, could definately see it happen | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Anyone would think it would make sense to simply make it 400cc twin and 200cc singles. ie half and quarter the big bikes capacity. We have enough Production based racing as is. |

| Mag, the only thing i have found was from 2008 saying that there would still be a 125cc class and just the 250cc will go to 600cc 4 stroke with no more then 4 cyl. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
