| I did bump that Ducati thread up not long ago and from now on will post the MotoGP stuff there instead. This Ford vs Holden sh!t sucks- ya'd think the nation would have out grown it by now. In the old days there were the Occassional Ford supporter but they new their place hehe. |

| Its getting much worse lately with one person in particular posting the same first thing in the morning and then again at night on just about every old post. | this is what iknow guys, The 2010 season will see the introduction of 4 stroke 600cc engines for the class which will now be known as moto2. this class will include 250cc 2 stroke and 600cc 4 stoke Honda control engine machines. This will see the culmination of various manufactures chassis using the honda control engine. The transistion of this 2 stroke to 4 stroke processs will only allow the 2strokes to run one final year to the end of 2010, from then on moto2 will follow suite to motogp and run 4 stroke engines only from 2011. Aprillia sell their rsw250gp machine for $250,000au to interantional teams. Aprillia have been so agressive to the continuation of 2 stroke operated teams that they have offered the 2010 machines free of charge to international teams. In recent testing in spain the moto2 machine was on lap record pace with Alvaro bautista's lap record. This new moto2 machne has had limited development and for this machine to be on lap record pace already shows that this machine has extreme potential. it would not surprise me although the intitial introduction of the moto2 capacity limit is 600cc it will possibly be reduced to 500cc and follow suite with motogp as it reduced its capacity limitation from 1000cc to 800cc. 125 class will eventually follow suite as honda are currently developing a 250cc 4 stroke gp machine which runs a honda crf 250 engine in a moriwaki chassis this machine has had good success at local and national level however the development has not progressed enough to be competive at an international level at this stage. hope that helps somewhat guys...not to bad for a chick who is just an armchair expert hey! lol :-)) |
