| We are gradually seeing our series taking more pointers from Nascar and I personally think this is one that could work. The enduro idea in pairing championship series drivers with development drivers is good because it gives those up and comers some quality time with more experienced drivers. They could learn a lot and it might improve the racing. |

| I just can't see this working. I reckon it could do more harm to the Fujitsu series then good - but hey thats only my opinion. |

I don't agree in leting drivers from the V8Supercars race in both series.
The development series is there to 'develop' up and coming drivers, not make drivers who don't do good in the top series look good.
If the drivers want to race more, then pressure AVESCO into getting more races instead of killing off tracks in Australia. A street circuit is not going to develop drivers when the track is only there one week in the year. If they want street circuits then have them, but not at the cost of current track rounds.
Not providing support to current tracks will only hurt the sport in the long run as the money made from street circuits will go to local councils and not to racing track clubs. |

I agree with the drivers! I beleive there could be more racing per year,I can never wait for the next race!! More excitment is needed during the year and the V8's do that for so many Aussies and it could truley benifit up coming V8 Supercar rookies!!from Kristie
GO SKAIFEY!!!! |

I like the idea of an enduro somewhere where a Championship Series driver and a Development Series driver share a Development Series car.
And if they want more racing then gradually expand the number of championship rounds. |

Several drivers have said they would like to race in the second-tier Fujitsu Development Series.
With V8 Supercars racing only 15 times a year, drivers are keen for more action.
The practice is popular in American NASCAR racing, where the stars of the Sprint Cup race against up-and-coming drivers in the Nationwide Series. The move has helped to boost the profile of the secondary series.
But V8 Supercars Australia chief executive Wayne Cattach has rejected the drivers' calls.
"There's no interest from me," he said. "The objective of the Fujitsu Series is to train young drivers and teams."
Cattach said he saw no value in giving the next generation of V8 stars a chance to compare themselves against the aces.
"I don't think it matters at all," he said. "All they have to do is look at lap times.
"It would give the drivers great jollies, but I don't see it doing anything else."
Jack Perkins, who is second in the Fujitsu Series, said such a move would only benefit the sport. |
