| i was under the impression that mark skaife was THE OWNER of hrt so does that mean that all the questions that were asked for him to provide proof of ownership mean he is just an owner in name only looks like he will have to sack himself.can anyone verify who the owner of hrt is and im having a guess that it may come up as tom walkinshaw which means he has ownership in both hrt and hsv and is that a breach of the rules | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Skaife was second in Saturday's first race of the three-event round and looked poised to have a big say in yesterday's racing — until he was involved in a first-lap incident in race two with Ford Performance Racing's Steve Richards. Skaife crashed and was out of business for the rest of the day, leaving the 41-year-old fuming. He was not in the best of moods anyway, even after his strong performance on Saturday when runner-up to Ford's Mark Winterbottom. Instead of seeing headlines praising his performance, he awoke to find the pit lane rumour mill in overdrive about his future after reports he was set to be dumped by the Holden Racing Team at the end of the season, his place to be taken by Ford flyer James Courtney, who, the speculation suggested, would be lured from the Gold Coast-based Stone Brothers team. Skaife was quick to play down the claim yesterday. "We have not discussed my exit from driving and we have not discussed any replacement for me in that scenario," he said, referring to talks he had held with HRT supremo Tom Walkinshaw. "For a few years we have been looking at young blokes who might take over from me. We have had Ryan Briscoe and James Courtney drive our cars. We would be derelict in our duty if we didn't look at good young talent. "We have not laid on what my exit is and in what time frame. I could drive for another five years if I wanted to and I am enjoying it and am still competitive. I am the biggest critic of M. Skaife. I will not hold back the best performance of the team. "I will determine it (retirement). I will feel at some stage that I am not going well enough or enjoying it as much as I should. I am not in any way, shape or form thinking about stopping motor racing." |
