--- James Courtney is just a pretender. He is not in the same class as the top 8 in V8 supercars and was an imposter at Jaguar as a test driver. His peers such as Ryan Briscoe and Scott Dixon are the real deal. He should stop looking at himself in the mirror and beleiving his own press!! and then he might do a better job than he is doing at the moment which is sweet F.A ---

| Supprising that Holdsworth did not get a look in, or has he still of some years on his contact? But you would think that with a clean fast driver like Holdsworth they would be interested. |

HD, you don't win 5 Bathurst 1000 titles and 5 Championships if you're a mug. Say what you want about Skaife the man, but he could drive.
Courtney is the obvious fit at HRT. Quick, young, and marketable. He's going to be one of the future superstars once he gets a really quick car to match FPR, Triple Eight, HSV, and the other HRT Commodore.
Did anyone else think that Skaife did a really good job in commentary today? |

Holden will make a serious mistake if they employ Courtney, it would be a waste of a good seat. What HRT need to do is put Skaife in a mentor role like Jim Richards and Peter Brock were to Skaife and put a novice with "REAL" raw talent in the number 2 seat and take a longer term view with HRT's best intrests at heart. |

FORMER Dancing with the Stars contestant James Courtney has been linked to a shock move to V8 Supercars glamour Holden Racing Team as Holden legend Mark Skaife ponders retirement.
Sources said Skaife would quit at the end of the year, bringing to an end the career of one of Australia's most successful V8 Supercars drivers.
In an exclusive interview, Ford driver Courtney yesterday confirmed the interest from Holden's top team.
"There has been quite a bit of interest from a lot of teams," said Courtney, who is off-contract with Stone Brothers Racing at the end of the season.
"It has been really quite good for me considering we haven't had the results that we have wanted.
"Despite that, everyone can see the potential that I have.
"It is a good feeling to have people chasing you.
"We still have a lot of racing ahead of us before I come to a decision as to where I am going to go next year.
"It is looking very promising and I am very excited."
It is understood Courtney, who made his V8 debut with Holden Racing Team at Bathurst in 2005, will be offered a rich deal to join the V8 superpower should Skaife pull the pin on his stellar career.
Skaife, 41, will go down as one of the all-time greats, with five series wins in a career stretching to 1987.
The five-time Bathurst winner joined the Holden team in 1998 to replace the late Peter Brock.
For the past 11 years, Skaife has been the face of Holden.
Skaife refused to comment yesterday, but Courtney confirmed speculation about his pending exit.
"Everyone keeps on saying this year will be his (Skaife's) last," Courtney said before yesterday's opening race in Perth where he finished 20th and Skaife second.
"I think Mark still has good pace, but he hasn't probably shown it lately as he has done in the past.
"I think he has been given a good run for his money."
Courtney, 28, joined Stone Brothers Racing in 2005 after a successful stint in British Formula Three.
