| Polites left Ford Australia a couple of years back (2005?), and they've had another CEO between him and the current one, I believe. |

| interesting article in todays sydney daily telegraph(cars guide section).questions are asked to australian ceo's of ford & holden.fords ceo is an american and only new, has'nt been to v8 race yet and makes no real comitment to racing.holden's ceo says racing is important to the team and also says its feasable for another manufacturer to possibly enter to keep it alive over coming years. |

Oh holden_skaife...you are fabulous...Mature posts...well i've seen a lot of posts from you in the past that could never be seen as mature...how about down right belligerent, disgraceful and rude to women..!!!.
Now...back on the topic.
I have not read anywhere that any final decision has been made re funding.
While I am a true Blue fan and have loved the work of DJ over the years I suspect at times he is his worst enemy and has made less than wise business decisions.
The result being that he is now in a position not that highly regarded by Ford as perhaps some of the other team are.
I sincerely hope he retains funding so he and the other top Ford teams can kick Red a**e.
Go the Fords in WA...!!! |

| The report on Fords funding is true. Things are being looked at re sponsorship but nothing is concrete. Yes DJR is an icon of the series and the oldest team in it. But don't forget that SBR were the ones that returned Ford to the top so it would be an absolute travesty for them to lose all the money aswell. And I have read elsewhere that SBR have also been involved in the development of FG. Ross and Jimmy were the ones that made the BA competitve so it nmakes sense. |

FORD icon *** Johnson could be the biggest loser if the blue oval cuts back its V8 Supercars sponsorship.
Ford Performance Racing, Triple Eight, Stone Brothers Racing, Britek Motorsport and *** Johnson Racing are all believed to receive significant funding from Ford.
There has been speculation since last year that the company is looking to fund only Ford Performance Racing and Triple Eight for 2009 and beyond.
Those two teams are in charge of developing the new FG Falcon into a V8 Supercar.
Long-time Ford outfit Brad Jones Racing defected to Holden this season, and Paul Cruickshank Racing lost its Ford backing for this season.
Dropping sales of the Ford Falcon and the increased cost of V8 Supercars racing are the key factors in Ford's troubles.
A recent change to the company's sponsorship management team has led to a number of budget cutbacks.
Ford Australia is waiting on parent company, Ford Asia-Pacific, to approve budgets for next year.
Johnson met Ford Racing boss Ray Price in Melbourne last week at the company's Broadmeadows headquarters to discuss the issue.
"As far as I know absolutely no decision has come out of that place yet," Johnson said.
"As far as they are concerned, and what they told me, they don't see any changes."
If the money is cut, it is believed the teams without sponsorship would still be supported technically by Ford.
