| Well you all know that if there is any bad news from the Ford side of the fence, holden_skaife is the first to post it. He loves doing that sort of rubbish, maybe he is a closet Ford support especially seeing he spends so much time checking up on the Ford news! ;) lol |

| Holden_Skaife pull your head in. Just name your source and everyone can leave it at that. And while you're at it why not tell us why either drivers for 888 would leave. They are in one of the fastest cars out there, they both get along great, and they both know that they are in with a shot at a title. If it was me I'd wanna leave. Wake up. |

| Just a thought, is it a case that with HRT that having two lead drivers causes more problems then it is worth and it is a clash of egos? |

LOL i don't remember that incident. But Tander has always been a bit like that with those type of comments.
It would be chewing into Skaiefe that he is not the number 1 driver at his own team.
Would love it know what was said regarding the Hamilton race with the headlight on incident. If only you could read their minds LOL |

| Skaife spun in Qualifying Leg 3, and it not only buggered up his fast lap but also Tander's. Tander said something like "He's run out of talent", because I remember Grant Denyer interviewing Skaife and saying, "Well, he's said you've run out of talent." Skaife wasn't too pleased with that. |

Remind me to what happened at Oran Park last year?
I suppose Simon believes that because they started the year with the champ in one of the HRT then he wants HRT to 'retain' as in keep the number one on the door? Don't know just guessing :) |

It wouldn't surprise me, given what happened at Oran Park last year.
Just one thing, though - what is Simon McNamara talking about when he says he wants HRT to "retain" the Championship? |

I did find it funny that Tander turned the headlight on and then was told by the pit crew to turn them off.
You have to admite that they only do this to pressure and remind the car in front that he is there. Skaife was never going to make ground on the pack, supprising that he did not let Tander past and then ride shotgun for him. Now that would have got the reporters and drivers behind going :) |

A rift yeah right. Tander knew that Skaife had to do his compulsory pit stop. If anything HRT are closer than ever.
i mean really the race was run and won weeks ago, and now this sort of rubbish. |

LOL well this is an interesting one. Tander would have to be considered the number one driver there especially going off the results that Mark has of late.
Would be a while (Lowndes was at HRT) since Skaife was listed as the 'second' driver. |

AAP - April 26, 2008, 4:31 pm
Rumors are becoming more frequent out of HRT that a potential rift maybe forming between current V8 Supercar Champion Garth Tander and HRT owner and driver Mark Skaife. This came to a boiling point at the Hamilton 400 when Mark Skaife remained on the track in front of race leader Tander, when Tander turned on his lights in a bid to place pressure on Skaife he was ordered by HRT management to turn them off and take it easy.
When contacted Holden Motorsport Manager Simon McNamara denied that any rift was forming and that it was quite the opposite âthe team has never been closer, sure there is competitiveness between front running drivers, but they are working together for a common goal and that is for HRT to retain the championshipâ.
It is believed that Tander has reminded the team that he is the number one driver at HRT now considering that he is the current Supercar champion and embattled owner / driver Mark Skaife is taking some time to deal with the idea that he no longer holds that mantle of lead driver. |
