Re:Byron to kick on Reply to this message
Yes, I agree it is painful to see the side struggling. One wouldn't be a true supporter if one didn't feel the pain of a loss. Of course one doesn't prance around like an overstuffed roster when one's team wins either. That is the difference between being proud and being a moron. Have a think about it Malformed. It'll come to you.

The last day flag was 1964. I am surprised you had to ask me. It's there if you Google it. Dear me. You want me to do all the work for you don't you little man. Best write that down in case someone asks you next week. Always good to have the answer ready. It will make you look smart - a bit deceitful really, but there you go.

Listen malcom, malcontent, maladjusted, whatever....run along little man. You haven't got the faintest clue what you are talking about. I suggest you stick to your own team's website where your ill-informed, and badly spelled, comments might be appreciated.

Neeters is so old and slow that I suppose other teams put two opponents on him to hold him up, is that right ? You 1diot. Every Melbourne supporter is aware of the dire injury situation and we are mature enough to understand it and wait for the tide to turn. One day you might even mature yourself although the indications are not good on your present efforts.

Re:Byron to kick on Reply to this message
you are very wrong i believe malcolm. Melbourne are also missing players. Robbo and Brock McClean are big outs.

We are most definitely lacking toughness down back, which Byron could no doubt help out with. Our midfield with Bruce, Green, McClean,Yze and Johnstone should be performing better no doubt. And our forward line of Neita, Robbo, Davey, Miller(though over-rated in my eyes) and Silvia can't be called lacking. I believe our problem is lack of run out of the backline.

You must be out of your mind to say that Neitz has nothing to offer the club. He is one of the greatest players for the MFC in history and the club owes him, and he won't be 'pensioned off'. Jeff White is underperforming but hopefully he will get some form back b4 next season.

P.S is your capslock key broken? and i guess your spellchecker is also broken? or maybe it's just your mind that's broken?

Re:Byron to kick on Reply to this message
Hopefully the four weeks in the VFL will shake him up. To say we need him back and dedicated is somewhat of an understatement. He is a top player so hopefully he has got his mind right. It would be pity to see him just walk away.

Re:Byron to kick on Reply to this message
I had the pleasure of seeing Choppy play as a 15 year old in an U18s state game (was team manager) against Victoria back in about 95/96. He started at CHB on a bloke about a foot taller and beat him easily and then flattened him with a classic hip and shoulder. He then went to ruck with SA down by about 3 or 4 goals at half time and proceeded to take the game over and beat blokes nearly a foot taller. He's always been one of the lads and his dedication waxed and waned at every club he was at. His parents are top people so everything Byron has done has been of his own making. Hopefully he will want to finish off his career in some style.

Byron to kick on Reply to this message
Byron Pickett has told the club he wants to continue playing with the Dees. That is pretty good news for [1] the club, as we need his experience and ability and [2] himself, as no-one likes to see a talent wasted. They are a pretty tight bunch in Redleg Land and I reckon the team will get him straightened again.
