To say the pies had eyes on A.N.Z.A.C game is to say they had no respect for North which flies in the face with what Malthouse had to say .Maybe it is the punter who has no respect for North Melbourne

Collingwood lost to the Blues because they were ARROGANT! But the Blues are improving, as are the Tiggers.

I would love the Pies to get flogged on Friday to make it 3 in a row, then 4 against the Hawks in rd 7!

"Might I add just one little point, not trying to diminish the Roos effort here though. Is there a chance the Pies had one eye on A N Z A C day?

I for one think the Roos are every bit as good as Collingwood, but you see it a lot - a side has a loss the week before they are drawn to play a big game"

So how does that explain the Carlton loss??

and hopefully next week the Essendon loss lol

Go Roos!!

Pies are now 2 and 3 , they didn't lose 2 games in a row last season & just came off being touched up by Carlton. The big class next week against the Bombers .... real huge 2 battlers going toe 2 toe. It would have been a much more important game had both these sides won recently.
North stloe 2 of Collingwoods admin staff , tell me Eddie wouldn't of wanted to beat the Roos. Any profesional outfit would never look any futher a field than the next game.

After a slow start to the season we have finally strung together a couple of wins. We faded badly against the Dons and Squawks, so last nights come from behind win in a close game should give the players some confidence.
I think it was 2 years ago that we were killing the opposition in the first half of the year and then faded badly after the rest weekend. As a result of that I think the focus has changed from super fit early in the year to building it up over the season like last year. It is like the Swans they get written off through bad early form (fitness) but come the business end of the year they are there in the Finals ready to fire. Interesting to note that most of the swans coaching staff is ex North Melbourne players.
Although I have been irritated by a few soft efforts this year, I have also been thinking about the bigger picture, there is no flag to be won in the first half of the year.....
