you are right rand , we will always have issues as long as we play games at Telstra Doom. 7 homes there last season , avg crowd 32500 and the profit was a measily 100 000 bucks.!!! Apparently you now need 28 000 to make one dollar at that ground.
But the hawk games in Tassie wouldn't have that many people (32500) on avg , but they reap the Hawks 750 000 a game. Great work by the Hawks on that one.
What the hell are/ were the Afl thinking when they agreed to use that lemon. And they the Afl worked out the deal for the roos And Bullies.
This by the way is the reason the Roos get the extra money , not because of the their lack of membership. And Mis C. Wilson well she can get *** ked , although thats not likely to happen as surely no one would do such a thing. |

We are not safe. Not by a long shot. Still plenty of work to be done. JB's plan is terrific but if i can use a football A N A L ogy for a minute then JB is going in hard to get the loose ball and we have to be behind to back him up. I bought my membership today.
We have to get rid of the board members who have been working against us instead of for us. |

Hey snow whilest i enjoy the 'love ' in your note. I don't think white knights is correct. Certainly in regards of the 10 mil it is. BUT for once it looks like the Club is heading in the right direction .Getting awsy from hand outs & rolling up the sleeves and getting down n dirty....
All extra sponsorship isn't white knight stuff , drafting young Tarrant is already paying off. Have read 3 articles on him already , might even put on rbrownz rose coloured glasses ....... kids gonna be a star lol
Brayshaw has said a 3mil profit in 2 years , we all know 1.5mil would be good enough.
So as i'd pretty much given up on them , i reckon i was wrong & we can not only survive , but thrive.!!!!!!!! |

five “white knights” pledged loans of $2 million each to enable the Kangaroos to stay in Melbourne. Four unnamed investors would contribute the money next year, with a fifth in 2009, giving the Roos a total of $10 million of nonfootball revenue to invest, generating up to $700,000 per year, and at the end of a 10-year arrangement capital growth of up to $10 million.
The investment scheme is the central plank of the plan, details of which were announced yesterday by club director James Brayshaw, who is leading the fight to stay at Arden Street.
Brayshaw was upbeat about the latest development in the Roos’ bid to stave off relocation.
“It’s an exciting and sustainable model to stay in Melbourne comfortably,” he said.
“We’re not trying to compete with the AFL offer. We’re just trying to work out a business model that will make us stay here.”
Brayshaw said the non-football revenue-raising scheme was an “amazing initiative” which had the capacity to “bomb-proof” the club over a long period.
“These are people who have put their hand up to be part of it and who have been amazingly generous,” he said. “They love the club and don’t want to see us go anywhere. It’s as simple as that.”
The “Stay at North” group have a new major sponsor worth between $700,000 and $1 million per year lined up for next season to replace telecommunications company Primus, which recently withdrew backing, and another three sponsors whose contributions would be worth $1 million.
Thank you my fine white knights |
