THE KANGAROOS have freed space for two extra picks in next Saturday’s NAB AFL National Draft, adding three-time Syd Barker Medallist Brent Harvey to the veteran list for the 2008 season and delisting Blake Grima.

Harvey, 29, has played 241 games since debuting for the Roos in 1996.

Football manager Donald McDonald praised Harvey's contribution to the club.

"Brent has been a fantastic player for a long time and his form in 2007 was better than ever,” McDonald said. “We look forward to that continuing in the coming years.

"His leadership skills and experience are extremely valuable and certainly help with the development of our younger players."

Grima, 23, played seven senior games in 2007, taking his career tally to 12.

“Blake has been a valued member of our playing group and we thank him for his contribution over the past five years,” McDonald said.

"He will continue to train in the hope of being selected in the up-coming draft."
