Hi guys!!! great news for you
if you go to www.melbournecup.com.au, along the top click on RACING and then there is a "Flemington LIVE" link you can go to. Keep in mind it is EXTREMELY BUSY, but if you're patient!

I live in the states and have the same problem. I've found that the TAB sites allow you to hear it live on 2KY or Sport927 (both air the race live). I listened last year, which was better than nothing. The site for those are http://www.tabinfo.com.au/springcarnival/Audio/aud io.aspx?Page=media

Thanks for info everyone but for us who are overseas we can't run down to the TAB or watch free to air TV but would like to watch it LIVE not the same if it is not live.

just e-mailed Yahoo7 and heard back that they are going to have the race up on the giddyup website within 5 mins of the finish.

so i guess if you can't get to it live - you can at least see it shortly after for free.

yes quizman789, the Cup will be shown live on free to air and if worst comes to worse you could always nick down to the local TAB and watch it there...

dunno why you'd want to see it online IF you live in Oz...

why bother wouldnt it be easier to watch on free to air tv meant to be televised live everywhere isnt it... totally agree with you bewdy

doubt you'll see it on big pond sport its been breaking down since Oct 14th typical telstra .... races run as 15sec slideshow isnt exactly streaming ....i could ---- faster .

No sorry, I can't help you ... there surely would be a way so I'd be interested in how. Mind you as I only use dial up I think the quality wouldn't be very good.

...... I've done a google search and you can definately view it via Bigpond sport if you are a bigpond customer.
