| There is only one sport with more corruption than horse racing and its the trots.why in the world people gamble on these is a mystery to me.look at jockeys and trainers once they are out of the sports and all of a sudden they admit to pulling horses up and backing them when they get to good odds.as for the trots well they are just a absolute joke. |

| i guess sky channel has the rights for racing, but why cant one of the new high def channels pick up the racing-it wont interfere with their normal broadcasting, god forbid we would want to get rid of the elvis presley movies on a saturday afternoon, must be good for another 100 repeats yet!!if only we could get john tapp back on free to air, definately one of the best weve ever had.i may have been a bit harsh on wayne harris, just dont let alf matthews get his spot. |

Id love a sports channel to show racing, even just live crosses like they used to when the cricket was on,sadly the powers to be dont want saturday sport on tv.
As far as the hosts go,I say bring back john Tapp, and Kenny Callender, they did the job,and knew what they were talking about,Id keep Wayne Harris,as I think an ex jockeys point of view is good. |

| hmmmmmm not to keen on simon o donnell i dont think he could pick his nose let alone a winner but who knows, the point is we need to expand the sports channel to suit us punters rather than suit the footy footy and footy. hey if they can do netball on sbs we can have some major races on tele to, what do you think? |

| please channel 9 let simon o donnell host the sydney racing carnival-he is wasted sitting next to the clown cameron? somebody-has no idea at all,and the clowns doing the interviews-miffo? i think it is,has not got a damn clue, and vossy in the ring-enough said-and has wayne harris actually tipped a winner yet??simon o donnell is a class act,the rest not worth their weight in horse manure. |

The free to air is not so much about the actual broadcast but the publicity and showcasing the racing industry you can't beat that marketing and bring more and more Australian's in contact into the industry!!
free to air racing does whats in suppose to and the only i could knock about it is the fact they generally only cover one meeting when Sydney/ Melbourne/ Brisbane covered event could boost options
Keep the Fashions Keep the bookies ring and whatever plays on the cards
if your serious about watching racing you have the channels at hands length
and if you can afford to punt then don't complain about the price of pay TV |

| have to agree on both sides here-would be nice to have more free to air racing,i live in adelaide, every year for as long as i can remember we always had oakbank races on tv and adelaide cup live-now we get nothing-very poor but i guess foxtel has paid big dollars for the rights so not much we can do-on the other hand when racing is on free to air how much garbage do they show??honestly who gives a fat rats clacker what some bimbos are wearing,or what they are eating out in the carpark??melbourne cup day, oaks day etc tv on sound turned down-10 minutes of horse racing combined with 5 hours of useless dribble no one gives a damn about.i have to resort to sky channel on my phone as i wont get foxtel, but i get to see every race no matter where i am-very handy. |

come guys have you ever thought of going to the pub or club to watch it live everyday of the week....
Mate i've watched free to air and it's all about the so called glamour , tvstars and what they are wearing with a few horse races thrown in...
come on guys if you are serious punters there are plenty of means...
the free to air is rubbish |

I think we need more horse racing on free tv,channel 7 has it right with its melbourne coverage,Im praying the upcomming sydney carnival is on some were.
I got into racing, with the live crosses to john tapp, and kenny calander during the cricket, and on sport shows,I really miss that,I think it would attract more people to racing, going to the TAB,or Track is not convenient for some, and not every one can afford pay T.V..So do us a favour guys,,show more racing on T,V please. |
