This may be a bit biased but I think
Carbine - Winning 33 of his 43 career starts with six seconds and three thirds, Unbeaten in New Zealand he went to Australia and became the first true champion of Australian racing. He won the 1890 Melbourne Cup, which he won over a record field (38), with a record weight (66kg) in record time. No horse had previously won with as much weight; no horse has since.
Phar Lap - won 37 of his 51 starts, ran three seconds and two thirds. In 1930 in four days at the Melbourne Cup carnival, he successively won the Melbourne (now MacKinnon) Stakes, Melbourne Cup, Linlithgow Stakes and the C.B.Fisher Plate. The first horse to earn the "champion" tag in Australian racing.
Sunline - Sunline raced 45 times for 32 wins, eight seconds and two thirds and an Australasian record $11 million in stakes. She raced in four countries and won in three; she twice won the Cox Plate the second time by seven lengths and just beaten a third time by Northerly. She twice won the Doncaster Handicap, and was second on another occasion conceding 6kg. Was unbeaten over 1400m her best distance. Twice elected Australian Racehorse of the Year and three times New Zealand Horse of the Year. In 1999 she was named the best turf mare in the world. |

Makybe Diva also got beat 8 times at WFA. And she was looked after in the handicaps.
Very good horse.
Best thoroughbred I've ever seen race?
Not within a long shot. |

Makye Diva - won of 1400m (against some top sprinters) - 3200m, 3 Melb. Cups and that amazing Cox Plate win (could watch that race all day) by far her best race was the BMW watch her run down Grand Armee what a champ.
Lonhro - Who could forget him being checked twice and still winning the Australian Cup.
Kingston Town - No need to tell what he did we all know that he was a star.
Sunline - What a great mare! |

| Champion racehorse Shergar when he won the Epsom Derby in England in 1981 but who was then kidnapped by IRA terrorists. The Agah Khan had syndicated out half the horse for a huge fortune for a stud career. The mysterious dissappearance of Shergar still remains a mystery. |

Great horse. Think it might have even run second in a Cox Plate. Was talking to Greg Hall one night and he reckoned it was the best horse he ever rode.
That's a big statement considering all the top horses he got on. |

Miss Finland would have to be starting to rate as the best 2 & 3 yo. She wins from 1200 - 2500m. Mixes it up in WFA (Cox Plate).
Might & Power was an out and out champ.
Could rate Northerly a couple of cogs under him...wrapt when he beat Sunline in the Plate!! |

Sunline
The Diva
Super Impose
Bonecrusher
They would allround the best I've seen
Mind you the Best 2 year old I've ever seen was a horse called Luskin Star. It was undefeated as a 2 year Old. It won the Golden Slipper and if I'm not mistaken won at least 7 of its 2 year old races leading from the jump to the post. Just ran the other 2 yr olds off their legs. |
