| There are some great horse mentioned here. You've got Kingston Town, Sunline, Super Impose, The Diva, Better Loosen Up etc, from the modern era. But one seems to be missing. The Big O. It's hard to go past him for one reason. Sheer guts and determination. | I've just read all 8 pages of this and certainly agree on Kingston Town as the best galloper I have seen live with daylight 2nd to 8th. I am 'however, gob smacked that no one has even mentioned the best race horse I have ever seen, a pacer from Tasmania who did most of his racing at Harold Park named HALWES.I will never forget the night that they had to allow Quinella betting only at the park when he came off a standing start from 96 yards back and beat Cardinal Bruce, the second half of the fav quinella at 20-1, by half the length of the straight. | Yes Mount Eden is by far the best I have seen in 30 years. Re Gallopers I cannot decide. So many good ones But I think if any one has a close look at the deeds of Aquanita,{Check the Millers Guide) - then that horse must rate right up with the likes of Sunline, Northerly, Kingston Town etc. |

| The best racehorses i have ever seen in recent times are OCTAGONAL,his son LONHRO. SUNLINE and MIGHT AND POWER.These horses were special. They were all extremely intelligent with BIG hearts and a great will to win.
