| O.k lets clear a few things up. I dont mind being reeled in, you take the bait expect to be caught. Anger management? Not angry, far from it, merely strongly opinionated. Swearing? I like the word - the most versatile word in the English language and shall continue to use colourful metaphors at want. Winners? Never mid week but always up for weekends. Over this effluent? | Nobody called you a fool, the fact that you can string a sentence together in an objective manner would suggest the exact opposite. Relax I do agree though that in the big scheme of things the professionals i describe bet for wins not places and a lot bigger amounts. But you can still be a pro and bet the amounts he is that's simple enough. I didn't realise that this thread was such an intense subject and there were rules and regulations to what you can say apart from swearing an personally attacking people. Loki you really need to have look at yourself mate .... There is some major anger mamagement issues you may need to address ??? Maybe pick a few winners that might de stress everyone .... |

| Oh, this is getting too much. All of a sudden theres a list of people that think the sun shines out of teleline. For gods sake, he was not bagged for tipping, he was not bagged for supposedly being successful, he was not bagged for stating that he was a professional punter. What he was bagged for (at least from me) was for coming on here and stating with reckless abandon just how much he was outlaying and stating that he was above the rest of the 9-5ers in this world for not having to meek out a humble existence. Well f/u/c/k/ that people!!!!!. Do we really need to know his 10G bets when people are openly saying that theyre in it for a 20 or so place bet. Its just not on, its juvenile bragging at its best. IF he IS betting these amounts and winning then great, good luck, power to him, couldnt be happier, but keep it to yourself, what sort of self absorbed top noter comes on and proudly states to the world the overly exaggerated amount that hes outlayed - what the f/u/c/k/ is it going to prove that the tip hasnt already? IF hes betting those amounts. As for the bet on Apche Cat - wouldnt take Einstein to realise it would run a place (but then again, he did say he had it for a win) even though his initial tip was for the place. Look, if he wants to spit the dummy then fine, consider it spat - i personally couldnt give the proverbial rats. | Geoffrey, punting is a tough game and most punters normally over an extended period of time will do their ass!!! However there are some very well informed guys who do make a substantial living out of it. These guys are like stock brokers looking for the best stock that is going to charge on the stockmarket. One guy in particular in Sydney Sean Bartholomew is a major player so much so that he doesn't even bother going to the ring anymore as he has set up an office with about 10 pc's and betting from the office across a number of accounts, bookmakers, betfair etc ... On a normal day he is invest well over 100k and in carnival times well over that amount. Now this guy started off working for a booky and he's only early thirties and now it is his business. So it can be done but the fact is not many people do it .... Or have the balls or the money to do it. Myself personally if i had the bankroll i probably would give it crack myself i can understand wheRE TL is coming from as i would rather go to the races than to work any day. Maybe he shouldn't of bragged too much however people such as some of his detractors need to be told. It is people like them will always whinge and complain of why it can't done etc etc That's why not everyone in this world is successfull. Nothing wrong with be successful but of course you need to take risks to do so and people that won't then bad luck get over it ... Good luck to TL and read what you want into his posts but do you need to try and bring him down ... He didn't personally attack anyone but there were plenty on here that just couldn't control themselves to bag him... Thats childish and jealousy... Can't we just stick to tipping and punting ??? So who's got some decent tips ????? |

| Without doubt everyone appreciates the tips from Telephone Line, but when you start giving people the idea that punting is a better life..........its time to take stock. I've been through the good and bad of punting since I was 12yrs old, love horse racing, but nothing i'd like to brag about. I'm sure this guy is a genuine good bloke, therefore, he will in time return....with winners i hope! |

| I have to agree the treatment TL got was silly. The thread is about everyone have a common interest which is punting on horses and sharing tips and helping everyone in making a few dollars or alot of dollars depending on how much you outlay. Who cares who makes what. It's kind of a club so should be restricted to people interested in this sport. I have no interest in rugby league so why would I go and post there. | How about Maldivian's run for thrid behind the cat ? I thought it was a great first up run and this horse is going to be a big chance in the cups ! | On Sat Arvo i dropped into the pub for a beer and a couple of bets. $3.00 half boxed trifecta returned $ 400 ! Pretty good investment the way see it.... It's only a waste if you are a mug punter that gambles hundreds of dollars a week and never wins ! | I can't believe all of the rubbish that some of you having been going on about with regards to TL ....Sounds like you are all bunch of little kids trying to be better than each other. Who really cares what TL puts on his horses as long as the tips keep coming in ! I think some serious jealousy has risen out of a number of you ? | dont know if the "advertising" comment was directed at me,dont think so?? anyways,no benefit to me/or anyone else in fact if peeps pop in to the site i mentioned.I know one thing ..in the 8 months or so ive been there no-one ive seen has flapped on about 2k here 10k there blah blah blah... PS anybody who bets on WA racing??,a tip for this sundays provincial carnival race opener the "coolgardie/boulder cup" 100K race over the mile trip is I COMMAND..ex eastern states horse,won its last two in perth metro area saturday class...around the 5 dollar mark SP im guessing.Should just about win... AN interesting response from TL..but not surprising given there may have been some fanciful information provided,seen a few blowhards in the past on here.PTT guys/gals feel free to take a look and or say gday by joining. |
