| It is obvious to me that certain people really have absolutey no idea about the horse racing industry, about its administration and about its policing. They have no idea about the restructuring of the industry over the years... they have no idea about the stakeholders involved in racing and the factors that simply make it highly punitive if caught doing the wrong thing... and that includes owners, trainers, jockeys, bookmakers and punters. The price of cheating is too high to pay. We've seen so many cases of this and it's turned racing in Australia into a pretty clean sport. How can one explain to people that which they will never understand! You can't. So I won't even try. If you believe racing is corrupt, good on you... you'll avoid gambling... you'd only lose your money if you were to bet, in any case. But saying people can't win on the horses is absolute c r a p! haven't you heard of professional punters? I'm not going to apologise for being a winning punter. It's how I make my living and yes its a mugs game but only to the majority who don't do their homework and study form. To those of us who know what we're doing... it beats working for a living, and doesn't it feel good! Winners are grinners and I'm grinning everyday! |
