| rachmorrell, well done! At Donald, alone, there are 104 horse running today... and we managed to pick a horse that came in for us and gave us a profit. That's what every punter must strive to do. We got a 60% return on our investment... and this was over 80 seconds, not over a year. Where can you get a return like this except in inflation ridden Zimbabwe! I have a sneaking suspicion that "he_follows_the_tipsters" would have also backed Themosticles. He's probably just too embarrassed to acknowledge the obvious. Tomorrow is Sandown. I have one in my little black book to follow again called Van Gogh. But first I just have to do a little bit more homework on him. |

| To all those who followed Themosticles and backed him for a place today… CONGRATULATIONS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I put $1,000 place on him… got $1.60 for his 3rd place… that’s a cool $600 profit I made! And I didn’t even do a minute of work! Oh yes, by the way… on 29/07/07 I posted the following comment: <<<<Today, Ballarat Race 8 - "Oddball" - I recommend you bet $500 each way on this horse if you want to give your heart a good work out. Otherwise just put $500 for a place and you'll be laughing all the way to your piggy bank. I won't even say "Good luck"... you won't need it. >>>> Unfortunately, Oddball was very unlucky that day coming 4th. So I then apologized to anyone who backed Oddball and lost money. For those of us who were then smart enough to follow Oddball day before yesterday (Sunday) at Werribee Race 8, congratulations… Oddball came 2nd paying $2.50 for the place, which helped me recoup the $500 place I lost the other day, and make an overall profit from backing this nag the two times. I just hope you smart punters followed up on Oddball! |

Here's a good bet for the last day of the racing season before all the horses have their birthday. 31/07/07 - Kyneton Race 1 - Horse 7 - Themosticles - Brad Rawiller This 5 year old Chestnut Gelding has only had 11 starts for three 3rd placings and prizemoney of $3,200. He was 3rd first up the other day in slow conditions. Trainer Gavin Beever (Bendigo) will have Themosticles absolutely primed to break his maiden status. So back him or I'll do to your testicles the same as was done to Themosticles. Put $250 e/w and take a little bag to collect your winnings.>>> That's what I posted on 30 July 2007. Themosticles came thrid. Now... tomorrow Themosticles is running again... this time at Donald in Race 5. It's a Maiden. If he gets the right track conditions, in all likelihood he should break his Maiden status. Now this is one of the toughest ever meetings to punt on... we're talking about the lower type quality horses going around... not like the quality we'll see at this coming Saturday's meeting at Moonee Valley. Trying to gauge form out of this lot is like figuring out a David Cpperfield illusion. Anyway, I thought I'd just let you guys know just so we can see if Brad Rawiller can bring home the bacon! | Let me say this... this topic is about giving tips. That's what I've done. What would you prefer? For me to give you dud tips instead? Or should I give tips on which you can win money? The choice is as simple as that! You can try and insult me, or whatever... the truth is it's irrelevant how I pick them... as long as they come in, and you have your money on them is all that matters. You're like the blonde begging God to help her win Tattslotto. Three weeks go by and she's still begging God to let her win Tattslotto. Then God finally gets p i s s e d off and booms down on her, "Help me Girl... first buy a ticket!" Now that's what I have to say to you here. Just place your bets. Don't worry about my methodology in picking tips... if you want to make money just back them instead of whinging! |

| buzz, that's great. I have my money tied up in my house (fully paid) and my shares through my brokers JB Were. I drive a top of the range VW Tourag. But so what. That's all irrelevant. Look... when I punt, it's about a strategy for the day. I outlay so much with a plan to get an overall return. You think sometime I don't want to kill a jockey when a horse should should have got at least a place? Of course some horse don't always come in. But as long as I've covered myself for the day with a number of bets that gives me a return, that's all that matters. It's irrelevant whether someone is tipping the horse or not. I select my horses after assessing their form, and of course some might end up being favourites. But that's not a problem. If they get a place and pay something, it's a return on investment. If one or two bets don't come in, so what... as long as I have a return for the day, that's all that counts. The problem is that most people approach punting the wrong way... and of course they lose. I see it at the tracks... I see it in TABs... Why? Because they're mug punters. They don't read form. It's all just a gamble. And they thing backing outsiders is the way. Wrong. You must back horses with good form to give yourself every chance. And play place bets only. Jessssus.... I should be charging people for my advice! |

| so i dont have the balls to put my money where my mouth is tele line 9 years ago the wife and i [after many discussions and research] put our money where our mouths were and bought a second property [borrowing 90% of the value] we rented it out but periodically left it vacant as to do renovations etc, we now only have $40,000 left on the mortgage and had the home valued in feb this year, estimated value now a smidge under 450 grand, we paid 169,500 for it, we also did 90% of the renovations ourselves so thats where our money is. |

Or is it that you despise people who can make money on the horse while you have to go work for a living. Tell me, you worked 7 hours today for how much money? I would have thought you'd be delighted to get my tips instead of pondering whether I win or lose.
