| I plonked $500 place on Spaceage Juliet and $500 place of Eternal's Choice and whacked $500 win on Barbaricus. A total outlay of $1,500 for a return of $1,700... $200 profit for the day. Oh well... better than nothing! |

Damn... Cuthbert Son is scratched.
Anyway, we can still have a go on what's a very dificult day of racing. I don't usually do this but here goes.
At Seymour today:-
Race 6... Spaceage Juliet looks promising.
Race 7... Eternal's Choice will be thereabouts.
Race 8... Barbaricus is down in class and is a top chance. |

only_for_places... your $20 went down the drain! Yeah... tell me about it! My $500 went down the drain on him!
If I didn't know better, I'd say jockey Paul Gatt is in cohoots with those "Indian bookmakers"!!! I did warn that Gatt is my biggest nightmare to Niconero's chances. Gatt tends to lose on horses that a drover's dog could win on! He's a worry. And I reckon David Hayes will soon realise it's time to terminate Gatt's services and get another jockey.
Ok... tomorrow. At Seymour Race 9, there's a lovely 4 year old horse called Cuthbert Son. About 3 weeks ago, he ran a great second behind Brolago at Sandown. Brolago came second today at Moonee Valley. Well, Cuthbert Son steps up to 2000 meters which should be ideal, and the form should stand up. Cuthbert Son is fit, and if it's heavy he'll be there. |

<<< grry-hart - brilliant lokikane ...you cant make people back it but you can tip them.....im giving teleline the flick and jumping on board with you.....lol....same thing pr3 2..ew>>>
grry-Hart... don't be so quick to give me the flick! On Wedmesday I posted the following comment:
<<Yesterday, I mentioned Seafarer (which came 4th today) was nominated for Saturday's $150,000 Aurie's Star Hcp (1200m) at Moonee Valley but couldn't get a run. Well, I'm pleased to say that El Segunda will be running in that race on Saturday with Damien Oliver on his back. I don't have to tell you to back him!>>
Did you back El Segunda, which placed third under his ginormus weight?
What about my morning 'must tip' called Tour Guide which won? Back it?
I'm quite happy to apologise and beg for forgiveness for Niconero. But as I warned this morning, Paul Gatt is my biggest nightmare! And what a nightmare run it was today! David Hayes would not be amused. Fortunately I also backed Zupaone in the race which won... you might have noticed it was scratched from Moonee Valley to run in the Morphetville race.
I was not amused with Paul Gatt because my $500 place went down the gurgler with him, so I ended up only making a $378 profit... a 22% return for the day. |

Looks like Sir Covet couldnt help out with feeding the wallet. If you backed it like me - dough done! - thats racing. Still, that does it for me for the day, im up so time to stop. Grry_hart, again, thanks for the Perth tip.
Dont trust the dishlickers so ill have to see whats going around tonight at the trots. Till later people. |

grry_hart, nice Perth tip, thought id give a tip from here a shot, seemed only fair considering i put 1 on. Took it 10 each way - not too bad either. 75 for a 20 investment.
I lucked out on an e/w in Melb rc5 (lost 15) so that was a nice recoup. Cheers. |

Sorry, that would be bloodstOck scene(not bloodstack). Almost sounded like ive got mates that are psychopathic axe murderers ( come to think of it, havent seen a couple of 'em for a while!)
Last in Syd -#6 Sir Covet e/w. Ill be taking some of those earlier winnings and going 10/30 again. Lets see if my luck continues. |

<<how many favorites won today????>>
KWC's
Personally, i couldnt care how many faves get up at any given meet. Im one of those punters that refuses to back them if theyre showing anything under 5/2. Id rather back something with confidence of getting a decent return than outlay money on something thats merely gonna get my cash back with a few bucks extra. Ill take a fave in a 4 horse box quinella or trifecta if i feel the value is there but personally, its more about the enjoyment of having a punt. Im not a huge better, very raely will outly more than 40/50 in any one race but never bet what im not willing to lose. Make your outlay, pocket any winnings and reinvest your initial outlay to your own needs.
As for the race fixing philosophie, im not too sure it happens on a regular basis, not out here anyway. Sure, its gone down in the past and im sure theres some minor goings on at the random meet but too many livlihoods are at stake now for the individual to be brought down. In my experience around the tracks as a punter and with a few close mates that either own or are in the bloodstack scene, ive found it pretty clean.
As for for the freedom to come on here and express your views, im all for it (you do it in a troll free manner)but youve just gotta expect those closer to the game to disagree, no point getting uptight about it. |

| Just wondering why do you come here with your opinion on the sport of kings? One would think with your views you would avoid betting on horses alltogether. The thread is for people interested in the sport. If you like the sport come here if you don't what's the point of posting here. |

| kangaroo you know nothing about horse racing. Trainers and owners know about the form of the horse. With your negative mindset you are bound to lose not just in horseracing but in life. |

| Nice tip that one and congratulations to anyone who backed it. I didn't but can't complain as I backed a 53 dollar winner at gloucester park last night(pure fluke).Yeah it is good if you know the trainer or some connection who knows about a horse. I've won money before on a tip from someone who knows the owner or the trainer ofa horse. |

| Just wishing i had more on it for the win but hey, a wins a win. Im not a huge outlayer at the races but i enjoy the punt. 10/30 still a nice return at 16.10/3.60. Glad someone else got on it. Nothing wrong with place bets! |
